Except, of course, for the most important fact: He won.

Not talking about defending Moore, my comments had to do with the nature of yours.

Is Trump the right man to represent those people?

Before you answer, Trump is a New York liberal.

It would be good for your country if you did get a shake up from actual liberals. Your Democrats and their outrageous authoritarianism need to be sorted somehow.

Christmas is coming, perhaps Santa will bring you some tissues, seems you still have problems with the result. The question you lot should be asking is what do you plan to do about it? I'd hope by now you'd figure more whining and crying isn't the answer, nor is proclaiming you're the champions of women, at least not while Franken stays in office. Either way, from what everyone can see, Democrats got nothing. You should bottle your tears in 2018, maybe you could end a drought or something useful...

Thank you for confirming what I said in the OP. I said that Trump was elected by angry people. You represented those angry people quite well.

I also said that those who voted for Trump wanted chaos in Washington, otherwise known as "draining the swamp." They wanted to remove everyone in a leadership position in Washington, in other words, chaos. You represented that position as well.

With Trump as our President, we are experiencing chaos and nothing is being accomplished. Congratulations.

No, yet he correctly identified real (not transgender bathroom) issues that people are faced with and he was an infinitely better choice than 20 career politicians from both parties who had proven that they had absolutely no interest in representing the american people and are merely a ruling class representing the 1%, corrupt self-serving elites, the donors, lobbyists, special interests... There never are guarantees when it comes to elections and candidates but with Trump there was hope, with the rest of the pack, there wasn't any.

His political views cross party lines and are based on common sense and America-first ideology, these are important reasons of my support for his candidacy.

With the previous administrations, we experienced complete lethargy- do nothing right, fix nothing wrong. That of course, is eventually terminal.

I would have loved for someone more eloquent that Trump to have run, but very few wise men are willing to take the job of cleaning up a sewer like Washington. The "chaos" is coming from the fact Trump is pushing for change, and they don't want to change. They have been used to the free ride for so long, feeding the public BS while selling the future out from under our children and padding their positions all at the same time- that they don't know anything else. That is why it has become a swamp, and the risk of losing that scares hel out of them.

When you drain the swamp, the alligators will get angry. All one has to do is note the way CNN, Huffpost and the general run of left-wingers act if you want to see "angry".
As to nothing being accomplished, there is some truth to that, and the left and dems are doing everything possible to be sure of it. Why- because if a Trump idea passes, they lose. How patriotic of them to place party over the people of America. It's far more important to destroy Trump than to turn America's deterioration around. That's the kind of patriotism that runs Washington.

If one reads the ethics guide that applies to all federal offices, one of the point is that you shall never put the benefit of your party above the good of the nation, But, what the hell, nobody pays attention to ethics anyway. They only matter if you get caught at something so horrendous that they public threatens to hang them all- then and only then do they act, by throwing one of their own under the bus to save the rest.

Now if you are happy with that crap, and it appears you are, squeal to your hearts content. I think your grandchildren will look back and things a little different than you do. They are the ones who will be paying for the mistakes you make today.

In his self-congratulatory speech on his recent Asian tour, Trump pointed out that was "evidence that America's renewed confidence and standing in the world have never been stronger than it is right now. When we are confident in ourselves, our strengths and flags and history, other nations are confident in us. During our travel, this is what the world saw, a strong, proud and confident America."

It is one thing for Trump to brag about his accomplishments in a well-written speech. It is quite another to view a comprehensive analysis of his achievements.

This renewed respect came for two nations, The Philippines led by strongman Rodrigo Duterte who is responsible for the extrajudicial deaths of thousands of alleged drug dealers and users across the country and communist Vietnam. Respect was lacking from our two allies, Japan and South Korea.

Most oppose Trump policies that withdraw U.S. support for major trade and climate change agreements.

IF Trump is a liberal, just how far left of Mao Dedong, Nikita Khrushchev, Joseph Stalin, Vladimir Lenin, Leon Trotsky are you? :confusion:

Yup, that jives with what I said, but it was a bit more complicated than that. I said:

Trump was elected by disgruntled blue collar workers, miners, and small farmers who, rather than accept the responsibility for their own lives, blamed the government for all their ills. Anarchists, under the guise of "draining the swamp," who wanted chaos in Washington by removing political leadership, also supported Trump. Trump got more support from non-college educated voters than any other candidate in American history. A true conservative, generally speaking, is well-educated.

Trump courted Steve Bannon, an avowed white nationalist. Since there is not a whole lot of difference between a white nationalist and white supremacist, Trump also got the support of white supremacists, along with members of the KKK and neo-Nazi organizations. It didn't matter if Trump agreed with those people. The point is, his campaign rhetoric attracted white supremacists, KKK, and neo-Nazis. Indeed, after Charlottesville, Trump sided with those folks and earned a "thank you" from a former imperial wizard, David Duke.

I'm glad we agree on something.

That is a distinction without a difference.

I appreciate the affirmation of my opinion that Trump was elected largely by non-college educated "working class Americans." Trump also had the support of non-college educated women.

Clinton "saw Ohio, Wisconsin and probably Michigan slip away, all states President Obama won in 2008 and 2012 — and this appears to be in part because of her performance among voters who don’t have a college degree, including women. In Michigan, Trump won those women along with white men, their support for him drowning out white, college-educated women’s votes for Clinton. She won that demographic by 10 points, but these women account for only two in 10 Michigan voters."

    Oh yuck.

I agree, it's not cool. That kind of crass excuse for "humor" always strikes me as a lazy way to get laughs that are probably a result of uncomfortable embarrassment rather than for being funny.

What I get is that you first said there was no purpose in explaining it to me, and then you explained it. That is about 2nd grade stuff, so you have me beat.

That is quite true. Trump has declared war on his own party.

I just love the Trumpian viewpoint that Trump is right and everyone else is wrong.

That's because disgruntled blue collar workers who normally vote Democratic voted for Trump. Hence his victories in traditionally Democratic states WI, MI, and PA.
