#TrumpShutdown tRUmp is in the EO and the corrupt GOP control congress........the stark facts of reality. Deal with it.
Meanwhile republicans still control all three branches of government and it shutdown for the first time in US history while all three branches controlled by one party.
I did. The NY Times and CNN did not "blame" democrats. Also, did you really call the number one worldwide trending hashtag on Twitter the "left wing echo chamber?" Lol.
yeah, I can't remember a party voting uniformly against a budget bill based on another countries citizens. (yes, I know 5 dissented once the deed was done because they are the most vulnerable)
https://www.google.com/amp/thehill....nment-down-but-theyre-still-struggling-to?amp https://www.google.com/amp/s/mobile...government-shutdown-immigration-daca.amp.html Yes, that twitter rant is from the left wing echo chamber.
EBT funds, SSI and SSDI funds, Medicare and Medicaid are funded, Paratransit Medicaid / care services are funded, the Post Office has funds, Federal Courts are funded, Air Traffic Control won't stop, the Military doesn't stop, VA Hospitals, Clinics and homeless outreach programs are funded. Military pay is funded through Feb. USDA still inspects food products. Essential services. Oh and most important, Congresscritters still get paid.
While that is certainly true, Trump created the DACA issue. He's the one who unilaterally announced the he was winding down the program. This created the real probability that the United States would deport 900,000 people whose only sin was being children of illegal aliens. This would be a human rights catastrophe of the sort that hasn't besmirched the land of the brave and home of the free since the "Trail of Tears". In the interim, Trump gave no indication of what he would want to see in legislation to address that threat. Two weeks ago, he indicated on live TV, that he would take a bipartisan deal, and signalled he was willing to "take the heat" on DACA with his base if need be. Senate leaders in both parties made the mistake of taking this historically untrustworty man as his word. This produced a 180 degree reversal by Trump, and an outburst of open bigotry that disgraced the nation, and the Presidency, and shocked the world. In the face of the fact that the President created the crisis and shows no sign of demonstrating any sort of leadership in addressing it, the issue has to be forced. All the more so, since the GOP was holding funding of the CHIP program hostage already. "I'm likely to vote GOP over this just to give them the supermajority they need to pass things," Really? The GOP started this hostage taking strategy in 1995, when Newt Gingrich tried to hold Bill Clinton hostage over the Budget. The GOP has repeatedly used hostage taking as a political strategy throughout the intervening years. They tried shutdown threats to hold the Obama administration hostage to their agenda. And this time, Trump created this crisis. So voting for the party that is the party of shutdown hostage taking is clearly not the way to solve your issue.
Since you cherry picked a graph of growth of the growth rate, rather than the growth rate itself, I am under no obligation to deal with your dishonest construct.
I imagine Schumer's Shutdown is a hot topic. Not surprised the left and their media partners are working hard to lie to their audience.
If Trump had not lied, the Republican-run government would not have shut down. "You guys are going to have to come up with a solution [for DACA], and I'm going to sign that solution!" "When you talk about comprehensive immigration reform, which is where I would like to get to eventually,. If we do the right bill here, we are not very far away, we've done most of it. You want to know the truth, Dick, if we do this properly, DACA, you're not so far away from comprehensive immigration reform. And if you want to take it that further step, I'll take the heat. I don't care!" "My positions are going to be what the people in this room come up with. If they come to me with things I'm not in love with, I'm going to do it, because I respect them."
So now lets hear all the Trumpers come out and try and defend these words or tell us he meant something else. He said the fault lies at the feet of the President, now lets see if the great negotiator can actually lead.
What sad I'm for them staying here if they keep this from being an option ever in the future with serious measures so DACA's are no longer a problem with a path to citizenship for them and for the parents toss them into prison and/or deport them under a serious felony why should parents be rewarded they should be barred from ever coming back here and returned home. I would insist the children as part of staying turn in their parents and all other relatives they know to be here illegally or no deal. But another amnesty - no - then in time we will have this issue come up again and then again.
Best that Congress works **** out first and just puts it on his desk and let him own his actions, veto or pass.
Excellent point! If he can't tell them what he wants, offering him the opportunity to write his name really, really big is the way to clarify it.
