Try again Houston isn't Republican. Most Owners are Republican.

    Most liberal cities in Texas
New study finds most big cities in Texas lean liberal. A new study shows that Austin is the most liberal city in Texas, but Dallas and Houston aren't far behind.

Until the next once-a-year big-eating event comes along, which might be Valentine's Day, Easter, a birthday, who knows? :D

I am not planning on watching the game. I don't care about the teams playing. Frankly, it looks like it will be a blow out, and who cares? I can watch all of the ads on youtube.. if I want to, as opposed to having to...

The wealthy people who own the city are Republican. Same for the NFL owners. By the way, NRG stadium was financed by taxpayer dollars which is welfare for the rich.

Then how did your leftists get elected.

Bottomline the game isn't in Houston and I don't get into watching football anymore. Use to be a time when I wouldn't miss a game with Da Bears. But that was over 10 years ago.

I'll be watching. And JT is the man. Go Eagles! (I'm not really an Eagles fan, but I always pull for the underdog when my favorite team, the Raiders, is not playing.

My wife is huge into ice hockey.
She watches most every game of her fave team.
I am in the room, and pay minor attention. Just haven't got into it.
Of course, I have no team I would prefer to root for either.

From earlier posts I've understood that you are somewhere in Florida? If so, you have a superior NHL Hockey team that is very highly ranked, having a superb season, and is definitely worth watching! They are the Tampa Bay Lightning!

There are also the Florida Panthers (Miami) who aren't having as spectacular a season as the Lightning, but aren't "cellar-dwellers", either.

The rules are easy to understand, but it isn't always easy to see everything (like 'off-sides') because everything is very fast-paced. For people who have grown used to the comparatively glacial pace of NFL football (like I was), ice hockey was a big transition, but I haven't dozed off in the middle of a single hockey game so far! Enjoy!

I have watched football every year since I was a kid but I haven't watched one game this year, no need to start now. If they have stopped kneeling, I might watch next year but have really enjoyed not having every Sunday wasted on a game that has been going down hill for years.

I am not a fan of either team, and I much prefer college football, but I will watch most of it. Won't watch the halftime show.

Anwatin Middle School in Minneapolis gets $220,000 from Super Bowl Legacy Fund for new athletic field

Let Green Bay have the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field. Minneapolis has the frozen tundra of Anwatin Middle School, where NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell tossed a football outdoors with students Thursday — and slipped to the ground — as the temperature hovered around zero and the windchill was about 15 below.

The commissioner was at Anwatin to break ground on a new athletic field for the school, a $220,000 gift from the Super Bowl Legacy Fund that capped its “52 Weeks of Giving” program. The pep band played, cheerleaders waved pompoms and the kids went nuts over the antics of Viktor the Viking, the team mascot.

“When we see the enthusiasm, it makes it all worth it,” Goodell said.

This is what the Super Bowl does - it helps finance schools in poor districts unlike the Olympics which benefits wealthy international elites. That is why genuine American patriots will watch and support the Super Bowl.
