    ?
He's been running around the globe shagging everything.

That's why he is in hiding. He shagged some Swedish bird without a condom.
Family man my arse. Absent father. Philanderer. Narcissist.

You seem to know a lot about him? Perhaps you'd like to share how you do? The fact of the matter is you know nothing about the man, do you!

Are you joking here, or do you really believe that Assange loves living in that Embassy? I sure as hell would not "love" living like that.

Well he could have stayed in his mates stately home instead. Driven around in an armoured car, but he prefers the spotlight.
His business does rather depend on it, and by no means do I think that he was so stupid that he thought he could take on the USA with no come back for his actions.
He could have left the embassy, the police guard was removed two and a half years ago.
He could have fled the country. Gone home to his own. Or relocated to Ecuador.

He could accept extradition to Sweden where there are no longer any charges being held against him. But he hasn't.
He likes it there. He likes being Julian Assange international fugitive from the evil forces of American darkness.

Having his 15 minutes and loving every second of it.
He's been milking this one for all it's worth. But it's over. His arrest warrant expires in 4 days time. It won't be renewed.

He should go shack up with Snowden in Mother Russia and live happily ever after.

Five and a half years of his life he'll never get back, all because of false claims by snivelling self-serving elitists simply because he exposed them for what they actually are - incompetent or corrupt, or both. What a outrageous travesty of justice. It should shame us all that it was perpetrated in our name.

Do you have any evidence to support that assertion, or are you just making stuff up again? Before he chose to hide in the Embassy was he living with any of his 4 known children? Was he living with their mothers? Helping bring the kids up? Was he even living in the same country as his children? Other than fathering children or spending time in a cult called 'the family' how was he a 'family man'?

Looking forward to a bit of evidence.

Oh dear, my bette noir's back! Can't say I wasn't expecting it!! :roflol: How the **** would I know anything about his personal life? I stated that he's a family man, and if he isn't the head of a nuclear family then who gives a **** anyway? (apart from you, evidently - unless it's just another immature opportunity to take a snipe at me, which is far more likely  ) 'Was he living in the same country?'?? Probably not; I'd guess that the head of an international outfit would be travelling all over the place. Whatever, he was performing a valuable public service, which is more than you and I can claim. Indeed, I don't know why you should take exception to it, unless you're one of the charlatans whom he exposed?

As expected. Long on waffle and distraction, light on anything resembling a fact to back up your assertion. I hope you treat your school work more seriously.

It's a non sequitur to the topic and the disgusting facts surrounding it.

How many wives and children have you abandoned?

I think we have very different standards of what a family man is.
You professed to know his personal life enough to title him a family man.
Now you have worked out that he isn't, you don't have the balls to stand corrected. But you have been, never the less.

I just read his long Bio on Wikipedia. It mentions...

While in his teens, Assange married a woman named Teresa, and in 1989 they had a son, Daniel Assange, now a software designer.[18][30][31] The couple separated and initially disputed custody of their child.[19] Assange was Daniel's primary caregiver for much of his childhood. In an open letter to French President François Hollande, Assange stated his youngest child lives in France with his mother. He also said that his family had faced death threats and harassment because of his work, forcing them to change identities and reduce contact with him.

Great men usually are not great father figures, it's not their destiny. That doesn't mean they neglect their children. Their priorities are simply more towards the great job.

In other words, he neglected his family in favour of his job.
He put being "Julian Assange international man of intrigue" ahead of his own family. Abandoning his wife and children completely not to mention placing them in considerable danger.

So yes, that is exactly what it means. He is a wayward father and divorcee not "a family man".
That is a responsibility he hasn't taken very seriously at all.

He's been shagging his fan club, not tucking up little Johnny in his bed each night.

Baff, get off your mono rail, your one track obsession. Life is so much more than being a dedicated father alone. His kids will be proud of him one day, once they have matured and can think for themselves. I'm sure they are not suffering. His own childhood wasn't a traditional picture book experience either.

Baff - there are men who selflessly seek to improve the world by exposing, on behalf of taxpayers and populations in general, the problems and catastrophes caused by charlatans, and those who don't. I know which pigeonhole I'd put you in.

I am selflessly exposing to you that Julian Assange is a drama queen.

@ Jazz, I am merely responding to the assertion that Julian Assange couldn't be enjoying his celebrity because he is a family man. Which he isn't.
I don't care if his abandoned kids grow to respect him or not or if he had a hard knock life.v He's not an idol of mine.

I do not feel the slightest sympathy for the plight of Julian Assange. I did once, but I grew bored of him.

I would like to add however that my earlier assertion that charges against him would be dropped seems to have been wrong. The judge appears to be a drama queen too.
This farce looks set to continue for the time being.

Unlikely perhaps, but one day you could find out first-hand what it's like when 'the system' is hounding and persecuting someone simply because that someone had the temerity to reveal to the world how useless and dangerously incompetent they are? But then I doubt you would have the guts to do it.

I hope the establishment lackey who rejected the appeal suffers a serious life-changing adversity herself, and soon. How the unprincipled government toady can sleep at night with it on her conscience I honestly don't know.

US and UK are old buddies, they stick together and help each other. Letting Assange dangle in a bubble is a very satisfying revenge for them. The Ecuadorian PM should smuggle him out on his next flight, dress him up as an aide or chauffeur. There has got to be a way!

:wall: Look, if he hadn't sought sanctuary in the Embassy he would have been snatched off the street, whisked off to Sweden, been convicted of rape on the spurious 'evidence' of a couple of paid females (in all likelihood, from the Swedish political establishment), thence to spend the rest of his life in a US penitentiary. Wouldn't you have 'hidden from the authorities'?
