    Typical emotional, hyperliberal, anti-self-defense gush. These poor sad people are just all eaten up with the idea that GUNS killed their loved ones -- and so they totally ignore the fact that it was actually a miserable, f*cked-up, walking blob of diseased VOMIT that killed their loved ones. But, it's so much easier to just blame "guns"....

    At some point it may finally occur to them, and maybe to all of us, that the real answer is to discover, isolate, and REMOVE chunks of stinking dung like Nikolas Cruz BEFORE they commit these horrible crimes. Until then, they'll just go on blaming "guns"....

    It's as true now as the first time it was ever said -- WHEN GUNS ARE OUTLAWED, ONLY OUTLAWS WILL HAVE GUNS....

    That's the Moses complex. If only we had enough laws everything would be perfect. We could have a billion laws and people would still be whining that we need another billion. There's no end to that. You either want freedom and liberty or you don't.

    the quickest way to find out what they mean when they say "we need more gun control" or "better gun laws" is to ask them to translate the 2nd Amendment.

    Take it up with them.... And can you admit your line about paperwork was way off to the point of being ignorant of the basic facts of this case?

    Listen, if liberals would actually present laws they want added or changed, and a legitimate plan of how to enact them, I'd listen. I could get on board with raising the age of AR's to 25 or something. Hell, i don't even care if they ban them completely. But we know for a fact that once they get ARs out of circulation, they'll move on to pistols. Then revolvers. Then hunting rifles and shotguns.

    approaching 60 P.O.C. in Chiraq and 70 in LA County, near 30 in NOLA, near 30 in Baltimore. those are fatalities...there have been HUNDREDS of shootings. All since New Years....48 days

    Your lax gun laws are enabling crims not only in America but in neighbouring nations like Mexico and even in Russia (why do you think Russia is bankrolling the NRA)

    Here in Aus it is harder for crims to get guns unless they know someone who knows someone and even then it is not easy

    Assault rifles are apparently worth over $30,0000!!!!
    Now if you have that much money you do not NEED to be a criminal!!

    You do know its a Progressive think tank pushing this right? I mean they spell it out at the bottom. The same group that has been screaming to the heavens about "collusion"... Mueller will be requesting to speak to big foot next if someone tells him big foot has all the answers..

    the object of their ire, the so-called "assault" rifle, is nothing more than a semi-automatic rifle that has a detachable magazine. If they're ever successful in getting them banned, they will suddenly recognize that ^^ fact, and then argue that they have, in essence and under color of law, banned ALL semi-automatic weapons that have detachable magazines. No more semi-automatic handguns, no more semi-automatic shotguns, no more semi-automatic rifles. All would be criminalized. Maybe if we're really really good, they'll let we filthy commoners have six-shooter revolvers, pump and double barrel shotguns, and bolt-action rifles. for awhile, anyway.

    this is why we give no quarter. they do not operate on good faith, and prove it over and over and over.

    Do you have a credible, reliable source for your remark that the Russians are 'bankrolling' the NRA? I know you can find this speculative kind of stuff in rollingstone, CNBC, New York Times, NPR, and other liberal propaganda organs.... The Left is just ass-hurt because the NRA did spend about $30 million to support Donald Trump's campaign, and, obviously, because Hilarity Clinton lost....

    You're in Australia? Lovely people... fine people. Fortunately for you, you're a bit removed, and off the 'beaten path'. Perhaps that's the biggest unrealized difference between your country's people and ours. You see, the nasty little secret here is that a LOT of people in the U. S. are not 'lovely', not 'fine', and not nice at all! We've got a large number of people here who are criminal, dangerous, drug-addicted, worthless social parasites who will suck the life's blood out of innocent victims, the government, and each other if they get a chance. You certainly seem to have many, many fewer such creatures in your country. My advice to you in Australia is when you detect their presence, discover, isolate, and REMOVE them, before they start to wreck your country, too....

    We avoided the whole quagmire around " assault rifle " definitions because that is one of the favourite copy and paste arguments

    Instead just look at firepower over time because it is the rapid fire weapon capable of spewing out multiple shots on a short time that is causing the horrific death tolls that even a " good guy with a gun" will not stop
