Haha, you quote the Daily Mail and consider it to be credible? Love the hoplophiling flip flipping mind you. Apparently one day we're more violent than the planet on Predators. The next day we're all sheep to Stepford Nannies.
You called others Lily livered. Choose your favorite source, the story was carried by everyone. You use Hyperbole and verbosity to suit.
Let's remind you of the quote: 'Not even for "British socialist communist workers"? Gosh, hoplophiles are getting lily-livered?'. You don't do sarcasm do you?
Not your well chosen sarcasm, and now you will ignore a well known story and well known U.K. row over pointy kitchen knives. Link: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/4581871.stm Classic misdirection or deflection at it's Best.... Jolly good show mate ! A +10 for style A - 3 for content.
You show a well established pattern of ignoring salient points of discussion, and misdirection to sticking plaster points.
Chortle, chortle. You took a "well chosen" sarcastic comment and constructed fluff around it. Nothing to consider, nothing to ignore.
You still trying to get a rise out of me? Isn't that a bad idea? Aren't the Brits supposed to be rabid violent because they don't have the calming influence of a gun to coax?
Nope, because that would not be true. Not trying to get a rise out of you. Bread. Yes, bad idea, separated as we are by a vast ocean etc.. Guns are irrelevant in connection to a person's true nature, at the age of 10, I knew guns were not toys and should be handled with care. I would never have used a gun to settle a dispute or fight, only if a threat to life existed. I believe the majority of legal licensed gun owners, over 99%, are law abiding, and not a threat to anyone. There was a member of peerage in London that would toss his outgoing mail from a window, and people would find it and post it. Most peope do what is right.
Back in the daze of Merry Olde England, it was Irish hoodlums along the highways that were the major concern of English gentlemen travelling to and fro. Now you can add Muslims to the list as well. By and large, England has become a knife culture. Same as in the daze of Jack The Ripper. Except the Muslims have easy access to bombs and AK's.
England had Trade unions of criminals, One such was popularized by the story Oliver Twist, not actually mentioned in the story, these Unions existed to protect those criminals involved.
As opposed to the violence observed at football riots? Those attending a game cannot even be trusted with carrying in a newspaper, as they have found a way to turn it into a bludgeoning device termed the Millwall Brick.
Football riots? How 1970s! Wonder if the NRA would support English fans having guns to protect themselves against the Russian mob during the World Cup? Deterrence ain't it!
Why not ask your own N.R.A. ? They predate the American N.R.A. Or didn't you know you lot had an N.R.A. ? https://nra.org.uk/ Keep on denial of your gun heritage and gun culture.
Arm Football fans ? That would be a Regular Riot, snicker. No, better is let them work it out unarmed, then kiss and make out, or is it make up ? Or both ? Lol
Since this is the Firearms discussion thread, how many people are interested in buying an AR-15 & high capacity magazines because of possible pending legislation? There are many well made "Entry Level" AR-15s currently going for around $600- & I just read positive reviews on the very affordable Anderson AR-15.
Thanks, That's the advice I got frequently at our local Gun Show this weekend but while complete rifles/carbines are currently so cheap I'm really tempted to buy the entire rifle/carbine. The Gun laws are currently very reasonable in VA so I don't see an outright ban on ARs within the next 15 - 20 years.
Yes, and since threading a muzzle is reasonably easy to attach a Legal Suppressor, unless they plan to Ban Legal Suppressors and flash hiders too.
