Yes, I saw a few less serious cases at Hospital, lucky ones that E.M.T.s were able to save with huge amounts of sterile water and acid neutralizing solution.

 

A system of government that renders its people defenseless in the face of such savage attacks is an utter failure, and will eventually be discarded.

Plenty of Police Officers as Myself have observed the complete failure that is Gun Control, currently most Police Departments and Sheriff's associations as well as most rank & file Law Enforcement Agencies.

There are huge numbers of verifiable accounts of defensive gun use and legitimate personal defence use of guns.

The only statistics Anti Gun advocates rely on are pure Criminal activities that cannot be controlled in any way by Gun Control.

To use your own Econometrics type of analysis, the profit motive behind and fueling illegal drug trade is the primary factor and organizations as Gangs and corrupt Government officials attracted by monetary gain and Cocaine, thereby using firearms as means to enforce Gang codes and killing innocent bystanders.

There is an ongoing War currently, and with Illegal drugs at the root of it all as well as unlimited amounts of money and profits to be had, no amount of Gun Control can ever be effective unless the Regions South of the border can be stabilized and the illegal drug trade eliminated.

 

The governments of many of our major cities are abysmal failures - rather like London.

What hath London Town done to ensure the safety of it's Citizen Subjects since 1962 ?
It's system of law protects criminals more than law abiding people by preventing personal defense calling it offensive, never mind guns or knives even.
