    Yes, of course it's wrong!

How can anyone believe that it isn't?

When it comes to discussing issues regarding torture, it basically always boils down to two things; efficacy, and quibbling over the definition.

Regarding efficacy, that argument is dead. It flatlined on the table. Torture doesn't work. The Senate Intelligence Committee Report on Torture from december 2014 clearly says so. It doesn't give any valuable information that can't be more reliable and humanely obtained without it.

And the definition? We all know that stuff like waterboarding and feeding people by shoving their food up their arse is torture. Some people might want to pretend like torture is only when you inflict physical pain, but we all know they don't really believe that.

Fact of the matter is that the US has a history of torturing and murdering people in places like Guantanamo Bay, often without them actually having been guilty of any crime. When is the american people actually going to hold their leaders accountable for that?

When are people going to give a damn? It's easy enough to just wave it away as being "Them ole nasty aye-rab trrr-rists gettin' what's comin' to 'em!", but I say you can't deserve torture, and definitely not when you've not even been charged with a crime.

There is no basis to remove President Trump because his being president is torturous to liberals - so no, torture is not wrong. Personally, I enjoy watching it.

As for torture of military prisoners? Yes, it does work. Yes, it is wrong.

It truth is objective, it is wrong. If man creates truth, then you can act any way in which you want. And call it what you want. Up can be down and down can but up.

You're "comfortable" with American POWs being tortured?

Mighty American of you. What a surprise.

I didn't ask you whether you can control what our enemies do.

You said you were comfortable with torture. I asked you if you were comfortable with American POWs being tortured.

Want to answer the question this time?

It is telling that the people that I knew that flew missions over N.V. didn't believe in torture and this helped to define who the enemy was. Evil beings who needed to be killed, not tortured. So, if you have no fear or worry of it, it is so easy to be for it. I find this with many other things as well. Like the arm chair generals who love war, but then they are not subject to combat so..... cheap tricks.

Sorry. I thought you were here to have a discussion, not play infantile games.

But it should be self-evident to everybody why you are.

I see, after your little infantile game playing, you want to ask me questions?

    But I'll answer:

    1. It is an inhuman thing to do.

    2. It is of dubious reliability and value.

    3. I don't want to excuse people who would do it to our folks.

Dubious. But why aren't you comfortable with US soldiers being tortured, if it works.

I don't know, who said we would.

But why aren't you comfortable with US soldiers being tortured, if it works.

And why are you dodging the question? Except for the obvious reason, I mean.

    We agree on something. Good.

If I had been ordered to torture a prisoner while in the military, I would have refused. They could have tried and convicted me for disobeying orders. But some of us draw moral lines in the sand and will not cross them. Those of us who believe in objective truth. That leaves out most modern democrats.
