Odd thing for a person who uses a user name and an avatar of a Soviet ground attack aircraft. FWIW, some people need killing.
Sorry to be picky but its primarily an air defense fighter. Its Mig 27 secondary ground attack role was not even envisaged at the time of its design In my view only Hitler and Stalin 'needed killing'
The worship of guns might have something to do with that perception. Its a lethal mental affliction you share with far too many of your countrymen as the relative figures attest
Dude, the Mig-27 is a dedicated ground-attack aircraft. Great for Russians to shoot up Ukrainian houses. It was based upon the Mig-23 interceptor, but it's effectiveness was poor, hence the conversion to ground-attack. Western aircraft danced around the Mig-23 which is why few nations outside of the USSR wanted it. I think Putin needs killing, but you obviously disagree. I wonder why. LOL
My avatar is of me sitting in a Mig 23 not a 27 so perhaps you should brush up on your aircraft recognition a bit Putin certainly needs 'replaced' in my view. You gunners are way too keen on the idea of killing each other as easily as possible
Meaning that it is not actually possible for yourself to present evidence of the unfounded claims being leveled in this discussion.
Yet you specifically named the Mig-27. No matter. Calling the Mig-23 an "interceptor" is a misnomer at best. It's best characteristic is running from a fight before being shot down by an F-16. http://nationalinterest.org/blog/the-buzz/the-mig-23-russias-worst-fighter-jet-ever-21791 “The MiG-23 was a nightmare, maintenance was a nightmare. The guys hated flying it,” recalled a former 4477th squadron commander. The MiG-23 was the 1970s fighter that the West loved to mock as junk. What could one expect from an aircraft that NATO gave the sadomasochistic name of Flogger? Shooting down Soviet aircraft is gun control NATO-style. So what is gun control like in Russia these days?

Numbers that have not actually been proven as applying with regard to myself, therefore leaving the accusations unfounded and devoid of legitimacy.
So where did I ever reference the MiG 27 as anything other than a ground attack aircraft ,,,,,go on I dare you ? My avatar has me sitting in a Ukrainian Mig 23S deal with it
You like the idea of killing easily and your homicide numbers refelect that viz every other first world country so go ahead fill your boots' Go be Dirty Harry or Rambo because the odds are you will get away with it anyway
First, no details pertaining to either the country of origin, or country of residence, has ever been provided on the part of myself, meaning there is nothing upon which to base the belief of citizenship in the united states other than the fact that you are being disagreed with, which is scant evidence to begin with. Second, there has been absolutely nothing presented on the part of yourself, that would even suggest the accusations being leveled, regarding a "liking the idea of killing easily" is being demonstrated on the part of myself. Third, even if such an accusation were factually based and correct, the obvious question of "so what?" must be asked with regard to the above. In matters of personal defense, there is no legal requirement to engage in fair play. It is not a matter of declared combat between mutual participants who agree to adhere to specific rules of engagement, and it cannot be held to such a standard. Fourth, the united states is not a first world, developed nation, and cannot be compared to such.
So you admit you brought up the MiG-27. Great! At least you’re not a bald-faced liar....especially since the post is there for all to see:
[QUOTE="Xenamnes, post: 1069345453, Fourth, the united states is not a first world, developed nation, and cannot be compared to such.[/QUOTE] Of course it is and is indeed as a consequence directly compapable. Gun huggers will of course always disagree
The inability of yourself to address the first three points raised has been noted. http://www.nationsonline.org/oneworld/third_world_countries.htm What makes a nation third world? Despite everevolving definitions, the concept of the third world serves to identify countries that suffer from high infant mortality, low economic development, high levels of poverty, low utilization of natural resources, and heavy dependence on industrialized nations. These are the developing and technologically less advanced nations of Asia, Africa, Oceania, and Latin America. Third world nations tend to have economies dependent on the developed countries and are generally characterized as poor with unstable governments and having high rates of population growth, illiteracy, and disease. A key factor is the lack of a middle class — with impoverished millions in a vast lower economic class and a very small elite upper class controlling the country's wealth and resources. Most third world nations also have a very large foreign debt. With the sole exception of a high infant mortality rate, the united states meets every single qualifying factor required for being classified as a third world nation.
