Then do not bother with comparing the united states to any other nation.

But the pro gunners do compare nations, well, just the bits to suit their agenda. Laughable tbh.

Then do not follow their example.

No you are not. You are making up some kind of strange strawman of what pro-gunners think. As a pro-gunner, I don't think that way at all. None of us do.

Normally in response to "look at Australia's record of banning guns" arguments. I agree national comparisons are silly. I wish anti-gunners would stop using them.

Please show me an example of where a pro-gunner calls a hammer more effective than a firearm for home defense. Not your imaginary examples, but a real one, either from a pro-gun poster or a pro-gun pundit.

Why do you use the word "need"?

Fine. Let's just look at Constitutionality, effectiveness and enforceability.

Why? All argument's protecting guns seems to drag up cars, guns, hammers and comparison to other nations.

Now all of a sudden, it's not possible to compare guns to cars, guns, hammers and not possible to compare different nations.

Now the goal posts have moved to the Constitution, effectiveness and enforceability.

Do the gun lobby have a firm collective stance regarding guns?

By deviating the argument to non comparing areas, is that just a delay tactic?

I've always preached Constitutionality, effectiveness and enforceability. It's the GCAs who move past those into "gun control works in UK and Australia", and "look at the number of dead".

Sure. For me, if I want to get dirty.

Not for my 11 year old or my wife though.

They don't have to be stronger than their attacker, they just have to have good sight alignment and sight picture to win.

Meaning that it is not actually possible for yourself to demonstrate the evidence, that supposedly proves a desire to easily kill others is present on the part of myself. Meaning that what is being done by yourself is nothing more than engaging in the act of slander.

And pray tell, exactly what is the "culture" of yourself that is being referred to? If this so-called "culture" being claimed by yourself completely devoid of a violent criminal element, made up of individuals that will murder you for the shoes on your feet, or the watch on your wrist?

Do they really ? I thought that was a whole US thing ? We have violent criminals yes , but they are a whole lot less likely to be lethal than yours due to our gun laws

No ....You want to be the guy in the white hat with his 'endangered' woman on one arm and his trusty firearm by his other living out your Hollywood fantasies (which you won't have denied) however much indulging that fantasy costs your wider society :(

Then if the society of yourself is filled with individuals who will murder you for the shoes on your feet, how are they less likely to be lethal if they do not view human life as holding any value to them? If they see you as nothing but an obstacle between them and what they want, fit to be removed by force, how are you supposedly any safer than anyone living in the united states?

Then actually go about proving such. No accusations, just proof. Show conclusively that such is indeed the position of myself, rather than a hypothetical construct manufactured by yourself.
