The Mig 23 is a fighter not a ground attack aircraft and its the one featured in my avatar. Sorry if its still confusing
The simple fact that such is not understood by yourself does not make it true. Presently an estimated sixteen percent of the population of the united states is at or below the established poverty line. Nearly everything that is sold in the united states is produced abroad and marketed locally, with a significant number of manufacturing jobs being shipped to the nation of China so companies can maintain higher profits at a lower cost. The economy of the united states is heavily dependent on other nations, due to a lack of locally-based employment, as everything has been shipped overseas, leaving the nation unable to sustain itself. The government of the united states is unstable, with the leadership changing every few years, and the rules changing on a daily basis. The population growth is extremely high, with the estimated population of the united states currently three hundred and thirty million, and showing no signs of slowing down. Approximately fourteen percent of the adult population is illiterate. Disease runs rampant in the united states, with measles and other diseases once again becoming widespread when they were nearly wiped out of existence. There is almost no middle class to speak of, with the upper class, the so called one percent, controlling the wealth and resources of the country. The current national debt of the united states is twenty one trillion dollars, all owed to various foreign nations, and greatly exceeding the gross domestic product actually produced by the united states, leaving it with no ability to ever pay off what it owes. The united states is not a first world, developed nation. It is as simple as that.
Not confusing at all. Sorry you are confused by the facts I presented showing the Mig-27 is a good ground-attack aircraft, proven by shooting up villages, and the Mig-23 was such a lousy fighter, its own pilots didn't like flying it.
Disagreed on the POV. Yes, the US economy is highly dependent on global trade. IIRC, about a third of our economy is based on it. Yes, we've outsourced our basic manufacturing such as textiles to third world nations, but we've kept the high tech manufacturing and R&D. What can't be sustained is our standard of living if we cut off foreign trade. The only nations that could are Third World subsistence farming nations. Claiming the US isn't a "first world, developed nation" is completely erroneous.
Where does the united states acquire the resources utilized in the high tech manufacturing and resource and development? Does it possess what is needed locally for the production of computer and electronic systems, or are they harvested and imported from foreign nations?
Isn't that why the Euros became colonialists? To obtain raw resources for manufacturing? How does global trade make the US "not a first world, developed nation"? The US has to import titanium. Does that make us a third world nation? No, it does not.
Computers and similar electronics are already produced overseas, as are the components. We don't have near enough silicon fabs to produce a tiny fraction of what we need.
Not a single one of the gun collector or firearms enthusiast that I know "worships" guns any more than antique car, knife, coin, & stamp collectors "worship" their respective objects of interest. Additionally, having an interest in firearms and / or carrying a firearm is a means to protect yourself & others from those who genuinely do have "...lethal mental affliction..." is neither a new or irrational mindset especially when one has exhausted all others precautionary measures. Perfectly rational, productive & law abiding members of society have devised ways to protect themselves from predatory miscreants for generations. Regrettably, there are no more effective means of stopping a determined attacker than an adequate firearm as pepper spray, tasers etc are frequently ineffective. Finally, you seem to suggest that American are more murderous than inhabitants of other countries but are apparently unaware that there are 80 countries in the world with much stricter gun laws but far higher homicide rates(1). (1) "Murder Rate By Country" https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/murder-rates-by-country.html
Hence the united states is dependent upon foreign nations in order to continue functioning, thus demonstrating that it is not a first world nation.
As is being demonstrated above, the united states does not qualify as being a first world, developed nation.
I already know your extremely silly views. Let the fellow respond. He might be able to achieve sense.
The majority of which is the result of drug-related convictions, rather than the criminal misuse of a firearm, despite the latter being a significantly greater problem in need of address.
Try to keep up. He implied there was no deterrence. The prison population shows otherwise. Find someone to hold your hand!
Here's an example of failure to deter the crime of buying a gun as a prohibited person. Given the offense rate, what's the punishment rate? https://www.ncjrs.gov/pdffiles1/bjs/grants/239272.pdf
