I think if Clinton had won we would already be fighting the Russians in Syria in a proxy war. I also would not like her picks for supreme court. So no Trump is FAR superior to Clinton.
Our system isn't based on guilty until proven innocent. (I do think she committed a crime, but not because she was charged.)
LOL, He sent an additional 40,000 troops ti Afghanistan, killed civilians with drone strikes by the thousands, allowed Libya the one single dictatorship that handed over its nuclear programs to Bush to fall and be replaced by religous fundamentalists, didn't close gitmo despite running on it as a main campaign promise (and yes he could have close it with executive order so you can't blame anyone blocking him), refused to back the Iran Green revolution which was the one revolution we should have backed but then turned around and back all the other Arab Springs revolutions which turned out to be disasterous. Thank cheese that at least the Egyptian military was smart enough to oust the Brotherhood candidate that was voted in during that fiasco.
Let's follow the example of getting rid of Trump as did Egypt its dictator, and, yes, Trump has not been charged. Yet.
And that is why I don't have much value for surveys. The option you noticed missing 'I kind of wish you had a option "did not support him but now do"', might show those who voted for a third candidate are happier that Trump won than they would have been had Clinton won. I usually find the questions asked in such polls are in some way biased toward producing a desired result.
Most people who post these polls are political hacks who are not the least interested in an actual survey they just want a thread to soapbox in. I didn't vote for Trump and think he is a megalomaniac but at least in areas dealing with Mexico and China and even NK (won't hold my breathe for that one though) he has wildly succeeded. At the time of the election if someone had pointed a gun at my head and said choose between Hillary and Trump I would have probably picked Hillary by a tiny margin only because I figured that A) She is a known quantity so no real suprises to worry about and B) she would have been so hamstrung by all of her scandals that she wouldn't have been able to effect much policy anyways. I am more than happy to say that I was wrong and even with his personal issues Trump is far better than Hillary or Bernie would have ever been.
Yes, a former Secretary of State respected all over the world, a former ny state senator twice elected is the dregs....not as superior as a ***** grabbing con artist. We just have different values
She's proven to be a liar who doesn't care about the sensitive information with which she was entrusted. Even Comey, who was clearly in her corner, admitted they weren't doing anything about the criminal activity wrt her emails, because, reasons... Comey: To be clear, this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances, a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences. To the contrary, those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions. But that is not what we are deciding now. But that is not what we are deciding now. That's all I needed to hear to realize how deeply these people supported Hillary.
I know I know how awful it would be to have have ,someone who isn’t a pathological lying narcissist who appeals to the gullible. Trump talks down to them and instead of being insulted, they think it’s good. He knew his base ..they’re getting screwed and saying thank you....
You are so right, the deplorables were so out of line not voting for Hillary, what were they thinking. Talk about gullible...
I like to tell people I'm a progressive leftist. That always opens the door for a lot of fun 1 on 1 conversations.
I'm not the only one who disliked both and didn't want either one to become our next president. Here's something to think about. 25% of all Americans disliked and didn't either one as president. This included 54% of all independents. https://news.gallup.com/opinion/pol...mericans-dislike-presidential-candidates.aspx Now on 7 Nov 2016, the day before the election if one looks at independents, you'll see that 27% of all independents had a favorable view of Hillary Clinton, 70% held an unfavorable view of her. Compared to Trump, independents had a 40% favorable view of him vs. 57% unfavorable. Questions 10 and 11. https://d25d2506sfb94s.cloudfront.net/cumulus_uploads/document/l37rosbwjp/econTabReport_lv.pdf This negative view of Hillary led to independents voting for Trump over her 46-42. It also led to 12% of all independents voting third party as they didn't want neither one to become president. How many independents stayed home because both major party candidates disgusted them, who knows? In total 8 million people chose to vote third party whether than choose between Trump and Clinton. I would say most independents look favorably upon Hillary as secretary of state, but they didn't want her as president. Secretary of State, fine, president no. As a friend of mine put it, "We elected the devil we didn't know, Trump was a businessman, no political experience, no one knew what he would or wouldn't do. We elected the devil we didn't know over the devil we did. Everyone knew exactly what Hillary Clinton would do. She was a known quantity, Trump wasn't." Having said all the above, Hillary would be president today if she wasn't so lazy. She let Trump both outwork and out campaign her from 1 Sep 2016-8 Nov 2016 by a huge 116 campaign stops/visits for Trump to her 71. no other Democratic candidate for president would have let his opponent both outwork and out campaign them by that much. Her campaign was ho hum, very little energy and enthusiasm whereas Trump's was full of energy and enthusiasm whereby his supporters would go to the four corners of the earth for him. A lot of Clinton supporters didn't even both to go to the polls. She also had a very inept campaign strategy which also cost her. She wanted to run up the score by getting more electoral votes than Obama did. She paid way too much attention to trying to win Georgia, Arizona and Utah while she ignored her own backyard, the so called blue wall states. Then there were the angry Sanders supporters over the DNC and state Democratic Party leaders jury rigging the primaries against their man. They probably cost her the election. Newsweek thinks so. https://www.newsweek.com/bernie-sanders-trump-2016-election-654320 The way I summed 2016 up was that the Republicans tried to had the Oval Office to the Democrats on a silver platter by nominating Trump. Then the Democrats threw that silver platter right back into the Republicans faces by nominating someone as disliked by America as a whole as Trump was. The rest is history. On election day, 58% of all Americans had a negative or unfavorable view of Hillary Clinton, 60% of Trump. That's a whole lot of dislikes for both major party candidates.
Interesting. That's approximately the percentage of Americans who don't have to put any thought into their vote because they blindly follow the party line.
So revolt, coup, and summary execution, with foreign assistance? That's what you want for the US? You guys have gone nuts.
I supported his policies and still do why shouldn't I. WaPopoll said 69% support his economic policies.
Hmm, party lines. According to CNN exit polls Democrats went for Hillary 89-8 over Trump with 3% voting third party. Republicans went for Trump 88-8 over Hillary with 4% voting third party. Independents to Trump 46-42 over Hillary with 12% voting third party. Here is CNN's exit polling of approximately 25,000 folks. Lots of interesting stuff in it. https://www.cnn.com/election/2016/results/exit-polls What I found interesting was according to Gallup, independents made up 41% of the total electorate, but only 31% of those who actually voted. In contrast, Republicans made up 27% of the total electorate and 33% of those who actually voted. Democrats, 30% of the total electorate, but 36% of all those who voted. I'm not surprised that less independents voted than their number of the total electorate, I am surprised by the ten point difference. That is quite a lot. It probably had a lot to do with the fact according to Gallup that 54% of all independents disliked both Trump and Clinton. A lot of those independent voters stayed home along with 12% who did vote, voted third party against both candidates. 6% nationally voted third party, that included 3% of Democrats, 4% of Republicans and 12% of independents.
