I didn't even know Homer had a grave site. That's pretty neat, was there any kind of monument, or just a shallow grave?
A reminder of where the Greeks have been and the depths of where they are now. By the way, that random sjw snowflake actually said "you're ****ing a white male"
Best to just dash in, see what you want, and then dash out again. Anyway, the best souvlaki is at the stand-up shops in the quartier latin in Paris.
Me too. But putting up with the Greeks (my own personal experience) isn't worth travelling to Greece. Better to get Greek food at home ..... or anywhere else.
Here is some information about the source of the info Certainly they have some agenda other than informing us. There is also the matter of which agenda the original poster is serving
I love that there are people who treat voltaire.net as a credible information source. It makes the world a less boring place. Less intelligent, but less boring.
Have you ever heard a Greek speak kindly of any other nationality? They hate Turks, they hate Slavik people, they hate Muslims, they hate Jews, they hate Africans, they hate French, Germans, Italians, Spanish, Danish, Swedes, Norwegians, English, Americans, etc. How can I like people who think only Greeks are good and that the rest of the world is shyt?
No, the Greeks will never go back home. Greece invaded Cyprus and caused Turkey to counter-invade to save the Turkish population of Cyprus from annihilation. Now Cyprus is only half of what it once was. But never mind, I have been to both halves and the Turkish side is much better than the Greek side by a long shot. Personally, I think Turkey should take over the other half too and send the Greeks packing back to Greece where they belong. Have you ever looked at the map of Cyprus to see where it is situated?
After being invaded and ruled by Muslims for 400 years, I would think the Greeks would be a little bit sensitive to new waves of Muslim immigrants.
To be fair, Cyprus has historically been Greek/Byzantine/Christian since the days of St. Paul. It was only the late 1800's that the Turks over ran the island until Great Britain seized it during WW I. So any invasion by the Greeks was itself a "counter-invasion." And of course that was well after the Turkish conquest and rule over all of Greece for 400 years.
That's right. They are "at war" with the Macedonians over the name of their country. They are "at war" with Turkey over the Orthodox Leader living in Istanbul. They are "at war" with Turkey over Cyprus. But also ask yourself ........ Are the Turks "at war" with the Greeks? No. Are the Macedonians "ar war" with the Greeks? No. The Greeks love to make trouble with everybody.
Rubbish. You know and I know it. Shall we mix it up with history and conquest? How about we discuss the law? A quagmire, you say? That's right. Like the Americans say, "It is what it is" and at the moment northern Cyprus is not Cyprus at all. It is Turkey. So be it. If the Greeks want an additional bloody nose just let them try another invasion. Simples.
One would think, yes. It is so very odd that for all their self-inflicted disagreements with every one of their neighbours the question of migrants is probably the only one with which I can sympathize and the only one that actually impacts Greece "in its face". Yet that problem looks to be on the back-burner. Where are their priorities?
