The alert has just been set off of a more massive arrival.

Following the signature of the agreement reached between Russia and Turkey at Sotchi, the Turkish CIA has smuggled more than a thousand fighters belonging to al Qaeda and Daesh out of Idlib.
The Greek police has detected at least 120 jihadists among the new immigrants. Most of these jihadists are to be found in Camp Moria, on the island of Lesbos.

These individuals are not named on the list of the 5 000 jihadists, held by the European authorities. These individuals have only been identified because of complaints made by other migrants, victims of Isis and Al Qaeda in Syria and Iraq.

How wonderful! Tourism is what Greece needs.
I guess Soros will foot the bill.
The EU already has 5 000, now we can add another 1000 to that = Europe's new army!
Seriously, I think this is not a small problem for Greece. How will they handle it?

Unfortunately, the Greeks degenerate as well as other Europeans.
Tolerant fascists destroy all European countries. And Greece as well. For example. Recently, representatives of the public in the Greek city of Lesbos won another victory in the struggle for tolerance. They have achieved the demolition of the cross, towering over the harbor. Meaning? In order not to offend the feelings of migrants arriving on the island.

It is worth noting that the cross was installed quite recently. The place is dangerous for swimming, many died. The cross was put in memory of the dead. And now tolerant degenerates have broken this cross. At the same time, the cross was broken by official permission of the authorities.

I think the Europeans, including the Greeks, get what they want. They themselves voted for their governments, therefore they are happy to receive savages.

Greeks go to extremes, so liberalism with all its vices is alive and well - and they will suffer for it - thanks to the EU. Tsipras is an atheist, and little by little the country is being forced to draw away from its Christian heritage. Greeks do not attack Crosses though. It was done by the Muslim refugees because it offended them. In other words, they are doing what was Erdogan's plan all along, taking over Greece.

Golden Dawn is an ultranationalist, far-right political party in Greece. It is led by Nikolaos Michaloliakos.

Scholars and media have described it as neo-Nazi[6][27][28] and fascist, though the group rejects these labels. Members have expressed admiration of the former Greek dictator Ioannis Metaxas of the 4th of August Regime (1936–1941). They have also made use of alleged Nazi symbolism, and have praised figures of Nazi Germany in the past. According to academic sources, the group is racist and xenophobic, and the party's leader has openly identified it as nationalist and racist. Many groups and political parties advocate for the Greek government to dissolve Golden Dawn.

Michaloliakos began the foundations of what would become Golden Dawn in 1980, when he published the first issue of the right-wing, pro-military junta journal with that name. In this context, Golden Dawn had its origins in the movement that worked towards a return to right-wing military dictatorship in Greece.

Following an investigation into the murder of anti-fascist rapper Pavlos Fyssas in September 2013 by a supporter of the party, Michaloliakos and several other Golden Dawn MPs and members were arrested and held in pre-trial detention on suspicion of forming a criminal organization. The trial began on 20 April 2015 and is ongoing as of 2018.

    Good Luck! :salute:

Maybe, but so long as the ideal remains momentum will nonetheless go forward.

According to the Greek news, the Cross was cemented in with iron bars, and whoever did it must have had a lot of anger in their hearts. I don't know where you picked up that it was liberal Greeks, because no matter how liberal or atheist they may be, Greeks do respect their heritage and the beliefs they were raised in - something which the EU is trying to undo.

It has to be either refugees or migrants, since they do frequent the area. That they were able to hack something of that magnitude means that they must have a lot of hatred in their hearts, and the police should find and arrest them. It kind of reminds me of the hacking of Crosses on the Churches in Kosovo - and under the eyes of Nato no less.

Anyway the Cross has been restored.

Are you out of you mind? Do you have any idea how many migrants are being shipped to Greece from Turkey each day, and the continuous threats they get from Erdogan that the islands in the Aegean, Cyprus and the territorial waters in the Eastern Mediterranean belong to Turkey - with a total disregard towards the Lausanne Treaty?

What is not being reported are the cache of arms that have been found, and I could go on and on. Right now Turkish ships are searching for oil and gas in waters that belong to Cyprus and Greece, and Erdogan has war ships guarding them. The situation is very serious, and Turkey has not only made an agreement with Albania to attack Greece if it goes to war, but is doing everything it can to create internal problems with terrorists as well.

But then again you are probably a Muslim and see it as beneficial towards propagating your faith.

This isn't about migrants. This is about the Turkish CIA sending terrorist out of Syria in to Greece.

Golden Dawn is not a big group, simply because the Greeks are political animals with opposing views, that's why they are always fighting among themselves. They have a 3 thousand year history of inner turmoil.

Golden Dawn which is a pagan nationalist group, did perform a service by escorting the elderly when collecting their SS checks, since they were not only being robbed by the migrants, but they were being killed as well - and for no reason other than hatred.

Anyway this is why Golden Dawn was tolerated by the police. More frightening then them, is the sudden dependency on the US because of the Turkish threats. But then Greeks are dumb anyway, they think that the American bases will protect them from the Albanians and Turks, when instead they'll be helping the Albanians grab Greek lands for their greater Albania.

The Turkish intelligence is called the MIT and the head is Fidan who is the second most powerful person in the Turkish government, as well as a terrorist and member of Al Queda. He is capable of every deception imaginable to advance Turkey's ambitions towards Greece.

Turkey supports Al Nusra which is the Syrian branch of Al Qaida - although they changed their name to something like 'al sham', but the stripes are the same.

Yes, I hope so, too. The Greeks are such noble folks they deserve a better status within the EU or get out completely.

Sorry, I may be the ONE who is dumb enough to believe the above statement.

You never cease to amaze me with your intricate knowledge of just about any country. Thanks for mentioning the honorable SS, not that I understood the meaning of your sentence.

I'd be about as likely to support Golden Dawn as I am Tsipras.

Which is to say, I'd rather jump off a cliff.

I was in Mykonos a few years back and this lady pulled out without looking, I skid on my scooter and almost fell off a 150m cliff. Very close.

Suffice it to say I'm not too keen on Greek cliffs anymore.

Well, who can blame you with a story like that?

I've always wanted to visit the ruins of Delphi and Athens. I also like Mediterranean food in general.

I went to Homer's grave, that was a pretty humbling experience. ****s been there in the dirt through Christ, fall of the Romans, the Magna Carta, the American Revolution, both world wars - he was chilling there the whole time.

Didn't get to Delphi. Wish I had.
