Again if semi automatic weapons were as available as knives what do you think would have been the outcome

It's just that I recall seeing some 'refugees are welcome here' demos. Maybe there weren't as many in Oz as there were in Sweden.

So are you suggesting a terrorist should be allowed to carry out an atrocity, then react afterwards?

It's not hard to get a gun in Australia lol, not auto but a hand guns are very easy to source. Just like the UK anyone can get one if they really put they're mind to it. Making it illegal makes very little difference to availability. The funny thing was in the UK people didn't use guns to kill each other even before they made them illegal it was very low rate of gun crime. A school shooting though and they took the handguns.

Europe it's really easy to get guns some places semi auto's laws are very lax in eastern Europe and there's no border control.

And yet guns are almost never used! People are well armed in Europe I cannot speak for Australia.

How many Islamic terror attacks in Canada or America have used guns? It's just not their style for some reason.

That said I hardly think this was a truly organised attack otherwise it would have been more effective.

A person is innocent until found guilty. We do not arrest folk because they MIGHT do something.

But we might keep closer eyes on them when we've seized their passports for when they tried to travel to Syria being suspected of trying to join ISIS and ASIO have them connected with suspected terrorists already.

I think the ASIO should publish the numbers on all suspected terrorists so the public at least can gauge the potential size of the "known" problem. No personal details just numbers broke down by municipality.

I also think the point of the OP was that MSM will deliberately cover up the motives for this attack for as long as possible for their own propaganda purposes.

Which he hit the nail on the head.

In my opinion they had enough on him to cancel his visa and send him home

So you're content they should be left alone to get on with killing in shopping malls, and driving vehicles at high speed into pedestrians, then incarcerated for a few months? Well if one of your loved ones becomes a victim of terrorism, maybe you'll change your stance to guilty until proven innocent, because it's the only way to prevent those atrocities, so it'll have to come whether we like it or not. We are at war, just in case you haven't noticed??

His brother and first cousin are in gaol for planning and preparing for a massive terrorist attack on Federation Square on Christmas Eve. The Police have a lot to answer for.
I cant see how the media can report that the family is well known and respected
within the somali community. This is bullshit.
His family members and associates (those that are not incarcerated at the moment) should be a key focus of any ongoing investigation.

Well they'll just have to wait until their release in a year or so, but be a bit more careful in the planning next time and not get caught?

Morrison states that the jihadist took a knife and attacked a "fellow Australian"
Well, I dont think he should have used the word "fellow"
We are not fellow Australians..we are infidels..and always will be..
Muslims have now found a novel way out when caught in terror activities, “mentally ill”, but now for once their bluff is being called out.
This Somali, if he was staying in Somalia, would be wondering where the next meal would be coming from or how to thieve to eat and live to see another day. In Australia his stomach is full, he and his family are doing well and the government is paying for all their wants, so he thinks now it is time to kill some Australians, he does not consider them to be his fellow countrymen, since they are the infidels.
Australians are waking up to muslims, but the politicians are still a bit slow.
Perhaps they should read the koran

Refugee. Saved from alleged terrible persecution/death/war/famine etc, and provided with a safe home in Australia, funded by the Australian people. This is just his and his family's way of thanking Australia.

I know a way we can save some of the millions it would take to do that. Don't import crazies.

Worse. They disarmed their population before allowing terrorists into their nation. At least the way that we do it there's more of a sport involved in that our victims can be just as dangerous as the terrorist.

Yes, people who made it their business to immediately get down to being productive and law abiding citizens, and who had no particular beef with our western culture. That ended with the last of the Asian refugees.

Because the Australian politicians in charge of that nation are just as much innate haters of Australia as Barack Obama -- who freaking threw the doors wide open to terrorists -- was in regards to the United States. Why these scum bucket politicians hate their own nation and people that much, remains a mystery.
