Trump paying that from his own funds still makes it a campaign contribution ! A Campaign cannot receive a “benefit” that they do not report to the FEC, thus the violation.

I’m not defending the congressional payments. But the big difference there is if those payments are made during an election cycle IMHO

And if he actually had paid them, I'd be right there with ya... It might have been politically damaging, but not legally... Now he has both...

I don't know, did they? I thought this thing with Trump and Cohen and Stormy is a "problem" cause it wasn't reported?

You may want to ask John Edwards if these payoffs are a "benefit" ;)

Yes, the lack of a reporting is a major issue.

Also the fact that there is a whole ****ing slew of evidence to indicate that Trump intentionally tried to hide the funds with the intent of helping his campaign.

Did you notice how the FEC lawyer said that there appears to be no evidence to link Trump to illegal campaign finance violation? I noticed.

Do you think it is at all possible that the DOJ has additional evidence that directly links Trump to the illegal campaign finance violation?

Like I said before, he's done the exact same thing to help his reputation in the past, what proves that this time was strictly about his campaign?

Yea...I am just going to ask you to remember who you're talking about when it comes to "hurting his wife and children." The man cheated on his 2nd wife with his current wife. He then cheated on his current wife after she gave birth to their son.

But yea, the evidence that I know of is the fact that he was running for the campaign at the time, that he ordered his personal fixer to make cash payments in order to avoid the paper trail, that he directed his attorney to hide those payments, that he denied the existence of those payments, and...oh yes, the fact that his lawyer just pled guilty to a felony wherein federal prosecutors also accused trump of directing his attorney to commit a felony.

Why would the SDNY disclose their evidence (I'm going Cohen, Tapes, Pecker, Weisselberg, in order of importance) in a sentencing memo where the guilty party has already pleaded guilty?? They don't need to..... at this time
