So if others do it then it's OK for you? Got it. Thanks.

There nothing at all wrong about voicing my opinion in my avatar. Call the flag police if you like, but I still have a first amendment right to do that. Until Trump removes that right, I will continue to use it.

It's all good. You completely missed my point. I should have assumed you would.

What point? That alleged patriots who support a MAGA who believes Putin over his own intelligence personnel and defends Putin personally get high and mighty about how the flag is depicted on an internet forum?

Congress already passed one that was consistent with what Trump promised his base. The problem was the Mexican parliament did not. Trump needs to fly down there and negotiate his deal.

Ask Mitch McConnell he and his republican brethren thought they passed one unanimously - until Trump insisted on taxpayer funding being included for a wall that was supposedly a gift from Mexico. .

EBT cards are good in theory. The USG could not make it work.

LOL! Then the DP has shut down the government over $5.7B?
It's the principle of the thing - right? ;-)

the DP is protecting the promise that Trump was supposed to protect, but that only involves a single budget, not the Federal government. They have already sent the rest of the budget bills for Senate confirmation in exactly the same form that passed the republican senate unanimously, and will do so again. The Majority leader won't let those bills he voted for, come up for a vote and the President refuses to sign them, but they are coming anyway.

Trump is the first President willing to force the issue and go the distance on legislation that has needed reform for decades. Dems say for Decades "we need Immigration Reform " "more security at the Border" but every time they had a chance to do it(Republicans too) they don't. Trump is saying it is time and he isn't going to back down no matter how Pelosi and Schumer and the Liberal Media try to spin it. Period. So sit down and shut up your not the President and he is "our" President.

Won't ask you to give him a chance because it is not in your nature. Even though I and many other Republicans DID give Obama a chance.

IOW, the DP has not shutdown the government over $5.7B but over a "promise that Trump was supposed to protect".

Hell, good for them. Democrats should keep the USG shut down until Trump loses the 2020 election!
It's the principle of the thing, and it's way more important than funding the government. :)

I think you are having problems reading my posts. Maybe you lost your focus after the first sentence. The Democrats in the House have nothing to do with this shutdown. They have already passed the Republican budgets and supporting legislation on each of the departments that passed the Senate UNANIMOUSLY. That means Nancy Pelosi and her caucus is willing to fund it. Those same bills have been passed again and wrapped with a bow for McConnell and his friends to put on the calendar for a scheduled vote. Dems are not shutting down the government. they are facilitating the opening of the government. They cannot force McConnell to schedule his own negotiated compromise bill and they cannot force the President to sign it.
if you are still having trouble figuring out who is responsible for the shutdown, review the video of the televised immigration meeting where Trump accepts full responsibility. He does not want you to blame the Dems for his own decision. He wants to take the heat himself.

Where the hell do you think we learned these tactics from? The teaparty republican Congress, that's who. Voters do not vote for politicians who compromise and give their presidents 'a chance'. They vote for obstructionists, so we are giving them obstruction.

What are you talking about? Are you telling your family tree and want to know mine?...Good.... All my ancestors were Cossacks. That is, all my ancestors belonged to the military class. And they were also border guards. Therefore, we are alike....But what does this have to do with this topic?

I'm getting the impression from your comment that you think that people can use their monthly food subsidy as though it was cash being handed over to them. That's not true at all. Benefits are transmitted electronically to a card similar to a credit card. Food assistance programs cover food, that's it. It does not cover toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, shampoo, hand soap, aspirin, cat food, cleaning products, etc.

Households CAN use SNAP benefits to buy:
    • Foods for the household to eat, such as:
    • breads and cereals;
    • fruits and vegetables;
    • meats, fish and poultry; and
    • dairy products.
    • Seeds and plants which produce food for the household to eat.
Households CANNOT use SNAP benefits to buy:
    • Beer, wine, liquor, cigarettes or tobacco
    • Any nonfood items, such as:
    • pet foods
    • soaps, paper products
    • household supplies
    • Vitamins and medicines
    • Food that will be eaten in the store
    • Hot foods

LOL! Yes, the Democrat pols refuse to bend to Trump's demand for $5.7B for The Wall. I am sure it's the principle of the thing - we know it can't be the money. I support the DP's decision to refuse to fund The Wall and keep the government shutdown until Nov 2020.
So, be happy! I am with you - all the way to the next election. :)

I think we should shut down more of the government until it actually hurts.

The biggest threat to the dollar is overspending by the federal government

We need to downsize starting with the nonessential governmemt employees sitting at home right now

The sale of food stamps and EBT cards is big business, a business WE are paying for.

Then of course the good old charity frauds
