Thanks for playing make-believe, but I don't support any kind of mercantilism and I don't buy into the superstition that mercantilism provides and economic advantage. Again, we've known that's a economic fallacy since 1776. Thanks for playing, but if you'd like to join modern economics, I and the rest of the capitalists are waiting for you guys to catch up. Trying to use the government to manipulate the market for an equality of outcome is the sort of nonsense that Marxists engage in. Why are you mimicking their economic ignorance?

No one is ignoring it or making it go away. It just isn't advantageous compared to modern economics. I don't know why you can't acknowledge that. Observational reality > fringe left economic superstition. Try and keep up with that fact.

Trying to mimic China and throw capitalism in the trash isn't a rationally viable solution. Why are you so desperate to adopt fringe leftist economics and ignore basic economic observation?

That you ascribe the same level of ignorance and lack of skills that you enjoy to others appears to be just part of your challenge.

And you know how American union workers perform their jobs, because you've been in an American auto plant how many times?

    Oh yea, that would be...never.

Actually, I've seen it, up close. Hell, I worked, for a year, for a company that games the system.

    True or Not True. Please

Trump has jumped on the issue of Made in :flagus:
where Clinton - Bush Jr., - Obama turned a blind eye to it.

Please speak to the point, clearly into the microphone.

@Mac-7 My company buys material from india(as well as china) and sells at a profit to create wealth. It's the same way WALMART buys cheap stuff and sells it at a profit to make wealth. These are American companies creating jobs and wealth in America. You don't have to manufacture something to create wealth. These foreign manufacturers are benefiting as well as the American buyers.

So links to media are suddenly a speculation issue for you ... and of course anyone who knows or whistleblow the content is then not to be taken serious if it is against your opinion? Lol!

Extreme hyperbole? Wow ... I think you need some help to see realities which are so obviously like 1+1=2!
Next time before you take the right to recommend me to visit the Holocaust Museum before making such a correct comparion between Trump and Hitler, learn to deal with obvious facts and put off your "I love Trump glasses". And note ... I am German, yes, but my ancestors fought against Hitler and some sat in concentratin camps too and died there together with the Jews!

So please get you some help ... much more necessary!

Whether you call china’s policy capitalism, communism, or mercantilism its aimed directly at out juglar vein

China is following the 18th-19th Century british model of world conquest where economic agression (mercantilism) is only a tool, a means to an end

you can use the foreign materials in your own manufacturing to create wealth

Which can make a profit for your company

But its also a net gain for india and china at the expense of America

And it makes you dependant on a foreign supplier that is a potential enemy

Compare it to japan being dependent of the US for steel and petroleum and how that led to war in 1941

Because in time china will use your need as leverage against you

Do you mean Japanese plants in the US or in Japan?
If in the US ... then you should ask yourself, why companies in the US in general can banish the Union in their plants in all these matters ... and why, for example, in Germany this is impossible!
At us, the Unions are strong and powerful and they even have the legal right to a seat on the Supervisory Board of companies. But exactly what and what it all meant as a result is just called by you Americans as evil socialist and repeatedly accused to us.

So I hope you understand that I have no sympathy for the howling at the disadvantage for poor GM from the American situation regarding to Union or not Union, and say: blame yourself when others are smarter and the better capitalists are GM !

    LOL

    So the answer is:

Don't have any facts on tariff schedules to cite.
Don't have a clue where to look to be able to cite them.

And I'm ignorant and lack skills?

You're the one who attempted to debate this subject.....

Trump views you as competitors. Most Americans do. We realize you feel the same way about us.

GM hasn't been able to build competetive cars for decades. Just look at OPEL, a company once known for producing rather boring but very reliable cars with a reasonable price. At one point GM decided to let accountants manage the production process. From that point on OPEL cars were just unreliable junk which fell apart after a few thousand kilometers.

Ford is the only US car company which offers acceptable cars in Europe.

It is a self destructive "tool" that destroys wealth. I know you don't care for capitalism, but it is objectively better. China's policies are designed to enrich it's government treasuries, not its people. Trade is not a zero sum game. You keep pretending it is, but if you actually believed it you would never buy anything.

Cologne is a very beautiful city! I always wonder what it would've been like living in the West in between the 1st and 2nd WW, especially on the Rhineland.
