Academia (with respect to science and engineering) has become a self-licking ice cream cone.

Since academics are socialistic they should get a taste of their own medicine with government imposed tuition and salary controls. There is no reason whatsoever that a liberal professor should earn more than a common laborer.

And many of these professors need Mao style reeducation, e.g., sent to camps to perform manual labor on a low calorie diet.
