You weren’t starting and driving a car from Florida sparky.
Their batteries have fewer but thicker plates for better heat control but much fewer CCA. They ain’t starting in -38 degrees.

Not a car that’s spent 20 years in Florida. You guys don’t have a clue how differently cars are maintained especially the batteries and tires.

Ha ha. We had two Novas when they were made by Toyota in Freemont.
We now have our fourth Tacoma ; everything has four wheel drive and winter tires.

It’s your head in a car crash. Would highly recommend using bags of traction sand in pick ups which break open in a crash....plus you always have sand for traction.

Have seen accidents with trucks carrying material like this in their beds, it wasn’t pretty.

Everyone of the dooms day predictions world wide have. Many are worse. They won’t tell you on Faux news and you can’t tell living in one area.

I mean, right now, those poor folks in Boston, who according to Al Gore, would be swimming these days cause of the 16 Feet of sea rise by 2016... Gosh, the horror.... or wait.. the prediction that the UK would never again see snow in the winter by 2014.. I bet it was sure a surprise to the Brits when almost their entire Isle was covered in snow last couple of winters... Or wait.... It must be those dang non vanishing islands in the Eastern Pacific that refuse to drown.. So much so that "environmentalists" literally had to cut down a mangrove tree to exhibit the "rising" sea level that they then claimed took the life of the tree.

I'm sorry, but so far, none of any of the dooms day scenarios has actually occurred, and frankly, they are as unlikely now, as at any time since they have been uttered. They exist for weak minded people to satisfy their hunger for fear. Nothing more. They are incredible. They are as unverifiable and as unlikely as the vaunted transmutation you probably also believe in.. But hey, you're afraid. And we shouldn't be unkind about your irrational fears. Right?

AOC claims nothing other then repeating what recent science says. You don’t have to believe her . Really, no one cares. It’s simple. She believes in science, deniers don’t.

Al Gore is not a scientist . But he seems to be your boogie man.
Al will excuse you for not knowing the difference between local weather and world climate mate.

You run the same tires year round? I wouldn’t if I lived further north. Any OEM battery not damaged will start a car in subzero temps without other extenuating circumstances. I have a 2002 gmc pickup with the original battery that starts at -20F. Good quality batteries built to take Florida heat are often good performers in cold as well because they have above average cca’s.

In my experience a synthetic engine oil can have as much influence on cold starting as battery performance.

Anyway, my problem was with the age claim you made. Its bogus. Your battery and tire thing would apply, if they did at all, independently of age for the most part.

LOL... You sure seem to be able to excuse yourself . You said, "all of those doom predictions have come true". Again, which ones were those? Do you have an actual list, or are we getting dangerously close to you tearing up and running away yet?

It’s simple. The biggest enemy of batteries is the heat. Batteries with high CCA are more expensive, at least if not more prone to heat damage, so why would they spend the money. Rain events are more a problem n the south. That doesn’t translate to traction in snow. Oil ? Ha ha. Higher viscosity oil for older cars before they were certified for synthetic is the norm for Floridan cars. That translates poorly for winter starting .

Then, in the north, abs, traction control etc. have made them much safer winter drivers then a 20 year old car without,
A Floridian driver if a 20 year old car without abs and traction control is in the ditch.....if he can get it started.

Geezes, some of many reason my relatives and friends moved south was to save money in taxes for winter road maintenance and buying and maintaining cars for winter driving.

Just keep pasting only half statements. At least then, you can be right in your own mind. You seem to have a problem with an entire post.
    Do your own research.

As I surmised, no actual substance. The funny thing is, I have done the research. Have you? I think it's easy to call out that you haven't. Because if you had, you'd have recognized in the previous post I actually cited things that, yes, Al Gore did predict, but he cited actual scientific study to support. I know you didn't know that, but it comforts me to see your experience unravel around you here. Oh, and it was the MET UK that proclaimed that the UK would never again see snow, and the IPCC that concluded that VANUATUA was doomed. but sure, you knew that... right?

So you cant answer his question? Which of those scenarios has come true?

you said, and I quote: "Everyone of the dooms day predictions world wide have." That is all of the predictions, according to you. Do you now deny you wrote this above in post
Did you still want to play?

Show one world wide prediction that isn’t local that hasn’t.
The ice melt is worse, the average temps are higher and the frequency of catastrophic weather events is higher.
I really don’t care if you think your neighborhood didn’t have a flood last year. What happens in Boston or nyc is inconsequential.

Go play the game, tell us one.

Your quote above has been republished to refresh your memory. So, why fumble around more? There is no lie about what you said, as evidenced by the quote that, once again, I have added to my response in 1019. I expect there might be tears on the way.... perhaps a little humor instead?

LOL.. why bother? The idea that you'd cite weather as a response is, well, entertaining. I couldn't help but want to correct you on the accuracy of your assertions here, but again, why bother? I suppose that you actually believe that you can feel the less than 1F rise in global average temps from where you are, and certainly, you believe the ice is worse, (not exactly sure what that means, but ok..) and not understanding that it was the accelerated ice melt that was supposed to have inundated the NE USA in 16' of sea level rise, well, that's just icing. Really, and the idea that "what happens in Boston or NYC is inconsequential", well, there you have it folks. 20 million or so dead hath no merit says dagosa.... Laughable.

At some point, I have to beg the question, are you looking for me to write your term paper or something??
