I’m tired of arguing about it. You have a valid point on the used car end. But the car in question wasn’t on the used car market. It was intended to be reliable and used well into the future. I’d guess it’s maintained better. Who knows. It’s been fun. May your car always start this winter... :)

Trump's fans are finding new and interesting ways to avoid what is happening in our country. They wish to avoid the issues that are dominating the news.

That clearly is a sign of weakness where their political views are concerned.

No, your point was, you thought I was wrong generalizing about about 20 year old cars driven daily in Florida, batteries in general and southern cars in particular. It’s not like I guessed. I have relatives in the car business in the north that “ imported” used cars from the south for sale. Regardless of how good they looked and how well they aged, other. Battery, tires and coolant system were always suspect as they aged. You can guess why.

They are all pickups for me, if it was just a car I’d probably lean your way more.

Yeah I'm starting to think this person could use a little global warming.

I think you're an Arcadia im in ft Myers so you would have a hour Head Start but I gladly race to Buffalo right now if you want to have some fun. Let me get a couple more beers in me first. If I'm going to Buffalo I'm not doing it sober.

When we get there we can buy a Duracell gold battery and some snow tires, and more beer

You told me my car wouldn't last a week now it's all winter and who the hell is going to take a car up into the freaking Artic with street tires, I might even bring a jacket and some gloves too.

This is a silly conversation but I like silly it's making me laugh.

Keeping my fingers crossed that the main road to work tomorrow won't be flooded out it hasn't rained in days so I think I'm good

No, it’s a typical southern 20 year old used car in the south, ill prepared for the north.

It’s fine for your area, but they can’t survive here in the winter . Very few here have experience driving winter snow and ice without electronic aids the best batteries and tires. It’s that simple.

A well prepared awd car with winter tires, can climb an ice covered hill you can’t even walk up. We do it daily in the winter. The last hill I saw in Florida was my sister‘s two footer high driveway in St, Pete .

No, get it straight, I said it wouldn’t last one storm. You’d be whining like a little mini Trump.

They’ll wake up when the impeachment trial starts and cheer for Putin and trump, and no collusion.

By gawd, I'd have to be drunk to leave the promised land of Arcadia. U can have the $ in the bank, I think I'll just stay here and drank.

Aside from her message.....there was just something a little "dark" going on there. Kind of like Peter Stroyk or Jack Nicholson in the "Shining"!

Florida, great place to visit for five months out of the year. Now it’s just my cruise ship jumping off point. One big advantage. Only place in the US you don’t need a parking brake.

The south, the perfect destination after your first heart attack on your way to the cemetery. As soon as the temps hits sixty, everyone wears a parker. More oxygen tanks per square mile then cars.

So, according to your thinking, people who travel north during the winter shouldn't be surviving it either. Oh, wait, you prepare for it. You dig out your winter coat and your boots, perhaps mittens too.

I lived in the north for 32 years... I've been in the south for 19 years. I do just fine when I go to see family up north.
