Why don't the Capitol Police whip her frail body and take her to the ground with billy clubs like they did the old man from Veterans for Peace this past summer, as he attempted to deliver food to the Venezuelan Embassy there? You and your dad could stand proudly with them, perhaps wield a baton yourself, smash some skulls with your own hand. It might be exciting to do that, eh?
I wonder if the Capitol Police are ready to take Jane Fonda in? Will she get a chance like she did the past three weeks? I have not heard yet of what's going on or maybe she did the right thing by giving up.
It happened again: This ad will end in 14 LOCAL Jane Fonda, Rosanna Arquette and Catherine Keener arrested in front of Hart Senate Building This is the fourth week in a row that Fonda has been arrested for her climate change protest efforts. Author: Kyley Schultz Published: 2:04 PM EDT November 1, 2019 Updated: 2:06 PM EDT November 1, 2019 WASHINGTON — Actresses Jane Fonda, Rosanna Arquette and Catherine Keener were arrested Friday afternoon in front of the Hart Senate Building for their efforts to protest climate change. This is the fourth week in a row that Fonda has been arrested for her climate change efforts. Her last three protests have been outside the U.S. Capitol, where it’s a misdemeanor violation for protesters to block the entrance. This week, instead of being arrested outside of the U.S. Capitol building, Fonda and climate change protesters went into the Hart Senate office building, where they sat on the floor and sang "We Shall Not Be Moved" and "This Land Is Your Land." Catherine Keener, who starred in Jordan Peele's horror movie Get Out, was arrested with Fonda and Will and Grace star Rosanna Arquette. Last week, Fonda was arrested with actor Ted Danson. The week before that, she was arrested with Grace and Frankie star Sam Waterston. Her first protest was on the Capitol steps on Oct. 11. Fonda said that she plans on being arrested in D.C. "every Friday, rain or shine" to bring awareness to climate change. They did something different which ought to be a surprise to us all. One more thing: Congratulation on the Washington Nationals on winning the World Series this year.
Does a series of misdemeanors eventually add up to a felony and a few nights in the clink? I do appreciate their enthusiasm but I'm also curious if they go home at night to their electricity & plastic filled homes. I hope someday I'll be this bored to decide that I'm just going to make a weekly Ruckus.
As an Australian, ha ha ha!!!! Fonda is just a creature of her time, whatever The Issue is, there she will be. She cannot really defend her beliefs (ie Vietnam) she doesn't have to.
Rumor is that a screen play entitled "Old Communist Hag" is in the works and the Chi Com producer is looking soon for an American traitorous actress with track record of bad acting and anti American sentiment, willing to straddle anti aircraft gun nearby screaming prisoner of war camp (or "education thru labor" as they call them now).
Looks that way doesn't it. I don't know what our Government can do to stop the Fossil Fuels and climate control. Our Government has other things to do other than worry about climate control.
I think anyone who actually pays attention to POLITICAL folks in hollywood are FOOLS! The same things don't apply to them. Do you think it matters, for their lifestyle, which party wins an election? Do you think gun laws will have an effect on their armed security guards that protect their GATED (or WALLed) mansions? Do you think lower or higher taxes will break them? Do you think education reform is going to affect their children in Ivy league private schools? Gimme a break!
Yes, the federal government has to worry about keeping the door closed on the many skeletons in its closet. It has to worry about growing the military industrial complex even larger, it must expand the Swamp.
When Jane Fonda passes, she should be buried in a nice park. I would like to suggest a beautiful dog park. Then the dogs can treat her, like she has treated America.
Jane Fonda and her group avoided arrest. Well that's a step in the right direction. Maybe they would learn to stay out of trouble next time.
