Trump would not be stupid enough to do that to an American women I would think even Republicans would have to stop him if he tried to cross that line
Obama implied the same unless nothing needed to be changed. Yet he ran on hope and change . He wanted to change some things that were unacceptable. Trump was just more direct. But both saw things that needed to be changed. One assumed the change he wanted would make us better or greater. But perhaps his change was intended to make America worse. I doubt that. He seemed to get amnesia nonce he walked into the office. He did well in looking out for the usual suspects.
The problem with extremists is they cannot think coherently nor with logic, rationality and reason. Neither are they reasonable. There is some thinking where the reasonable thinking demands black and white thinking, right and wrong thinking with no gray. So such thinking does not define radicals. Non radicals think in terms of black and white, right and wrong or intelligent vs. stupidity . Radicals seldom create anything but failed solutions and terrible ideas. All too often radicals cure their pet's headache by cutting off its head. You cannot find a reasonable radical. Their processors are infected with numerous viruses.Along with software.
I agree with you on the "legality" part. From a legal perspective, we have no grounds to stand on. But from the morality side, we could provide some convincing reasons for being there. Fighting ISIS wasn't really a choice. ISIS was murdering indigenous populations everywhere they went--many by beheading. Several westerners, including Americans, Brits & French, were included. Many executions were carried out by minors as young as 10 years of age, under intense duress by ISIS leaders. Such behaviors exceed the limits of tolerable human behaviors. We not only had the moral right, but a moral obligation to resist such inhumane communities, wherever they might arise.
Trump is not a prosecutor. Bill Barr is, Barr could do it. He would not decide on the punishment, the judge would have to make that decision.
The slippery slope for us to be the world's policeman.... The official narrative regarding the Global War On Terror is utterly contrived. With our propagandists in the White Helmet and Bellingcat working full time, most of what the American people believe about our actions in Syria is false.
IMO, Fonda is too enamored with herself to possess the humility necessary to be thankful for/or proud of America. I am and have always been thankful for/and proud of America. I am most taken by our Founding Fathers and the divine nature of our equality in freedom. Next would be the US military, which by its constant preparedness is the defense of our nation 24/7. Then there are the FBI, CIA and other intel agencies....school crossing guards, you name it.
Jane Fonda should be prosecuted because no one is listening to her. Her Fire Drill Fridays are being a waste of time.
I agree with you regarding being the world's policemen, but I also have strong feelings about tolerating societies that treat people with the level of harshness & inhumanity demonstrated by ISIS. Allowing those societies to gain a foothold & be left free to become deeply entrenched, is irresponsible. We need to find acceptable boundaries between being policemen & being too apathetic.
Jane Fonda has been at this from protesting against the Vietnam War to nuclear war with her former husband Tom Hayden and former California Governor Jerry Brown to others including the Bakken pipeline.. She's just making a criminal of herself
I didn’t realize you knew her personally. She told me she was very proud in 2012 on a Tuesday Only by rightwingers who have no productive causes
I look at what she said and did in the past and present. She is a celebrity and in the news since I was in H.S. Never liked what she stood for which was mainly to protest against the Government and anyone who disagreed with her views. I support the right for all people having their own beliefs and to be free from verbal attacks from those that disagree with those beliefs. While I have never liked her I have never verbally attacked her. Just don't like her.
as far as I'm concerned left wingers are unproductive... they use any cause to destabilise a country... ooooh it's a hot day.. let's protest and stop rightwingers going to work (where these conservatives want to work and be productive) conservatives are more productive and handle public funds far better than leftwingers who are socialists and hand out public funds as if there's no bottom
What do you think about the level of harshness and inhumanity and criminality demonstrated by the government in Washington? In particular our military aggression and use of drones? My own personal experience as a young man was seeing the utter defoliation of tropical forests done by my government. On a philosophical note, it seems that as Alan Watts pointed out decades ago, more harshness and inhumanity and cruelty is demonstrated in the name of religious advancement than any other cause in history. Christian Soldiers up against Muslim Soldiers and more. One might argue that the New Testament was supposed to help the Christians get away from all that by turning the other cheek and such, but it seems to have failed.
