That would never happen. As a species, we are notoriously short-sighted. If a big asteroid was going to hit in 50 years, nobody would care. They would just assume that in 49 years, we'll tech our way out of it, and if not, we'll think of something on the fly. Which is how we're treating climate change. Obviously, we're not going to solve the problem. Even if Bernie gets in there, he's not going to push for climate change policies. He's going to do healthcare, college, and taxes. Whatever political capital is left-over will go to climate-change, and it will probably be some token-gesture. The American public is NOT going to support the kinds of changes required to really get this problem under control. Certainly not if the rest of the world isn't on board.

The interesting thing is the (ever shrinking) thin sliver of the population that still believes this delusion that the activity of billions of people, and all their gadgets, devices, cars, and planes isn't going to have a negative impact on the Earth. Talk about wishful thinking, but I get it. Who wants to admit we ****ed up our own planet? How depressing.

There isn't anything new under the sun. This same thing went on in the 80's about the risks of smoking. Even some of the same players are involved. The "Heartland Institute" was at the forefront of defending smoking 20 years ago. Now they've pivoted to denying climate change. Some things never change.

Wow, really? We treat climate change the way it needs to be treated, as something we don't control. But by all means, go ahead and lead the way, get rid of all your electronic devices and save the planet, and all of us from your silliness...

of course we f*cked up the planet, still are in fact... however that has no bearing on climate, although we do create weather and weather patterns, heck we even artificially create storms through technology that's far more advanced then 'seeding' clouds to make it rain, we can deflect/direct the jet stream which creates temp changes (sometimes drastically)...

You must have forgotten WWII when the US rationed gas, steal, lead and oil?

You realize that if we "create weather and weather patterns" over a long-period of time (say, 150 years or so), that's climate, right?

Political Leadership can very quickly put us on a path away from the worst possible climatic scenarios as well.

Now you want exact numbers? Pure comedy.

How do you know it's on a rate 75x than the natural rate? The natural rate spans millions and millions of years and nobody was around to measure the temperature over the course of 50-100 years to see how fast or how slow the rates were. 50 million years ago, Greenland was about 85 degrees. How fast were they rising 66 million years ago? Scientists think it could have been at a rate of 14F.

Geology measures in the 100's of thousands at best and usually more like the millions.

We can't you get basic facts into your head?

So then we should be able to create weather and weather patterns in the future that would counter-act any problems. Oh wait, that wouldn't crash Western economies and stuff the coffers of socialists and other eco-Nazis...

100% false and you can't prove it as you keep proving with each post when I ask for your proof.

Why are you rehashing this tired false claim?

Go ahead, post your "proof" and I'll once again quote it prove you wrong again.

You do not recognize the proof you have been given time and again solely and explicitly because you are incapable of even identifying the type or amount of proof which would EVER count as proof to you.

"Ever Recorded" was implied by the title, but die on that mole hill if you must.

Hitler was. The lie is that he was far right but he was really a far left socialist Nazi/Soviet style dictator.

    Volstok Ice Core Data

The last time that the CO2 concentration rose by 80 points, which is the amount that it rose from 1900 to 2000, it took about 7500 years.

Which is false so you should have never stated such an obvious lie or misstatement in your title. Unless you weren't aware that Antarctica hasn't been at the South Pole forever.

How do you know it didn't rise faster 50 million years ago? You don't. :)

We do know for a fact that levels of O2 and CO2 were higher before man walked the earth though.

Allow me to make it easier for you to understand.

I don't agree with your base premise, therefore I would never be offering a solution to a non-existent problem.

    I am AMAZING at parties.

apples/oranges... you're comparing ground level co2 from ancient times with upper atmospheric levels today...
keynote: co2 is heavier than air

Well, since you wont bother yourself with the evidence provided, I cant take your comments seriously.

FYI: Human civilization was wiped out, along with the mammoths about 12000 years ago.
