That is why the President has state and justice departments, to keep politics out of the mix.

Both state and Justice have become political arms of a President. A new President may not find him/herself well served by holdovers from a previous administration. State in particular sometimes loses sight of who actually determines foreign policy. That can be a real problem with an unpopular President.

No, we do not want party politicism in the federal or state agencies.

To have a political party presence in government like that is to imitate the communist and Nazi ways of governing.

When did we ever have a government that was not based on politics? What other government today do you believe is not based on politics?

    Government is selected by politics.

The parties are not part of government.

He's not a direct witness to the Trump-Ukraine scandal. That's why Trumpers were bitching about how the whistleblower only had second/third-hand information. Then the call transcript was released, witnesses testified, and other facts presented.

He only exposed wrongdoing. He has nothing directly or indirectly to do with Trump's crimes.

He has nothing to offer beyond what's in his complaint & what what exposed (which was confirmed by witnesses & records).

    * It doesn't matter why Hunter joined Burisma, or what he was doing there. Both he and his dad were civilians during Trump's administration and can do anything they like. Also, one doesn't have to be a technical expert in the company's product to be on a its board. Board members also include top administrative/business/management personnel.
    * Trump can't use Biden as an excuse for his illegal actions, abuse of office, and misuse of taxpayer money...just like Bill Clinton can't use Kenn Starr as an excuse for his committing perjury.
    * Trump's secrecy, lies, and cover up of his Ukraine affair is confirmation that he knew he was committing illegal activities, and that he was not genuinely interested in rooting out corruption. Trump's actions were about politics...not policy.
    * Trump solicited a foreign nation for a personal "favor" by leveraging taxpayer money. This is ILLEGAL.
    * Trump solicited a foreign nation for help that would benefit his campaign. (He even openly asked China & Norway for help.) This is ILLEGAL.
    * Trump withheld aid after the Ukraine was vetted, approved, and green-lighted for aid. This is ILLEGAL.
    * Trump canceled Pence's trip to attend Zelensky's inauguration after no investigation announcements were made. This additional act didn't even involve aid, which is further confirmation that Trump was not interested in rooting out corruption.
    * Trump only wanted the announcement of an investigation by Zelensky (and Barr), not an actual investigation.
    * Trump had no reason to fire Yovanovitch. She was known to have been strong on anti-corruption in the Ukraine and would've been a great benefit & ally to Trump if his goal really was to target corruption.
    * Trump & Giuliani are STILL looking for dirt on Biden to this day...further confirmation that Trump is insanely threatened & obsessed with Biden, and never was interested in targeting corruption in the Ukraine.

You're speaking nonsense because the president did commit the crimes he was accused of...and more than ample evidence was presented. There would've been even more evidence if the Trump-corporate shills that sit in the Senate would've allowed it.

If Trump didn't have the Senate GOP, the courts, John Roberts, and Barr on his side he'd been removed long ago. Why you people continue to defend this insane clown dictator-wannabe is beyond me.

I look only at the facts. There's no playing favorites or bias from me other than what's good for all the people (not what's good for the few...or the one---Trump).

And how is removing Trump from office "destroying" him? You don't seem to understand. Trump doesn't matter. The PEOPLE matter. Loyalists are desperately trying to save "poor" Trump, all the while Trump watches the country burn as he spews nonsensical garbage at rallies to entertain the nation's dumbest of the dumb.

Even Kellyanne Conway's husband (George) believes the House may have to impeach Trump AGAIN.[LINK 1] Conservative judge & longtime member of the Federalist Society, Frank Easterbrook, has taken a furious stand against the Trump administration & his henchman, Barr, from trying to supersede the authority of the courts whenever they please.[LINK 2] All four federal prosecutors who worked on the Roger Stone case resigned in protest after the DOJ overruled their sentencing request.[LINK 3]. Eight Republican Senators voted for a war powers resolution that would restrict Trump's ability to take military action against Iran without Congressional approval.[LINK 4]

Trump makes it so very clear that he wants to be the nation's forever dictator that even the un-awoke people are beginning to wake up to the truth about this insane clown.

He's a pathological liar, a malignant narcissist, a con man, and drug addict who is absolutely out of his mind...and you just can't see it.

Interesting that only right-wing, low confidence news sources are reposting this story by Real Clear Investigations, in the past known to have used information from sources that have failed fact checks.[LINK]

The article states: "All unnamed sources for this article spoke only on condition that they not be further identified or described."

No documentary evidence & no names of the two NSC sources provided for this story...just the usual conspiracy peddling by Paul Sperry (a New York Post columnist who was formerly the Washington bureau chief for far-right conspiracy theory outlet WorldNetDaily).

But let's say this story is 100% true. It doesn't alter the fact that Trump violated his oath of office. It doesn't matter if the whistleblower or anyone else he worked with or talked to had a grudge or a bias against Trump (and who can blame them anyway?). What matters is that there's a mountain of evidence (which continues to trickle in) that Trump abused the powers of his office. Everything Trump has claimed about the Ukraine affair has been exposed to be a lie. If Trump was innocent this would not be the case, nor would Trump make such an effort to cover it up, to block subpoenas, to threaten witnesses, and so on. And let's not forget that Mulvaney admitted to a quid pro quo...Bolton said aid was contingent on investigations...and Parnas connected all the dots & reaffirmed the existing evidence with additional names & details.

So it makes no difference what the whistleblower, Schiff, or other accusers feel about Trump. If Trump did nothing wrong there would be nothing they could use. There would be zero evidence (ie, no corroborating witnesses, documents, records, etc., and no lying, cover up, or blocking of investigations by the accused).

Do whistleblower laws even apply to the president if the person is employed within the executive branch? Whistleblower laws are designed to protect against professional repraisal, but working against the president's agenda would violate the president's constitutional authority...

If the whistle blower was a real man instead of a sniviling little coward he would come out and and defend his actions.

And the right wing supporters continue to hate that their reasoning is why we have whistle blower laws.

It's pitiful to watch what should be intelligent people babble nonsense- trying to make crime out of hate and opinion. Of course if the president didn't have defense he would have been been removed, because the dems could care less about cause- their cause is hate, bias, and the deep agony of having mocked and gloated in advance of the election, then losing. That's their "cause", his "crime". That IS pitiful.

Only children- and spoiled children at that- manufacture BS claims and proudly tout them as "evidence". This was a totally partisan accusation by people who had already declared total war on the president. of course it was crap. The case before it was crap, the next one will be crap- Because they have nothing else, and they no longer have the integrity to act honorably.

It was Biden as spokesman for the Obama administration that insisted the prosecutor be fired or no US aid. No amount of yelling about Trump will change that or the fact that Hunter Biden was involved in the corruption at Burisma. It also follows that his daddy Joe was also in the mix. It didn't cost Burisma a dime to hire Biden and pay him a ridiculous salary, that money was part of the aid package. In corruption there is a large pile of money that is targeted by those in power but it has a lot of little fringe people feeding on it in order to keep it all hidden. You can protest Biden innocence till the cows come home but anyone who has ever seen large scale corruption knows how it works and the Bidens stink.

Yovanovich served at the pleasure of the President. When she believed her policies were more important than his she was relieved of her duties and reassigned. Just as she should have been.

The hoaxblower is central to the Schiff-Ukraine scandal. He must be positively identified so that the other conspirators can be identified, investigated, and prosecuted along with him.

Sheesh! Breathe into a paper bag.

Here's a hint: Try to avoid using "Kellyanne Conway's husband", as your authority, when invoking the 'appeal to authority' fallacy.

The people need these whistleblowers...be they "fake" or not...we need them. The people would be none the wiser if it were not for these crucial whistleblowers.

You seek transparency when it comes to the "other side"...but you support secrecy when it comes to Trump's side. Double standard?

That wasn't an appeal to "authority"...just a comment about the growing trend among Trump supporters. Trump's insanity is really beginning to show & is taking a toll on the nation. I would say most Trump supporters are not clinically insane...but rather, delusional, programmed cult followers (with the exception of the "loyalists" who are just looking out for their career & financial interests).

But recall years ago that Graham, during the 2016 presidential race, calls Trump (among other things) a "kook, crazy & unfit for office". Today, Lindsey Graham is a staunch Trump "supporter" (at least on the surface). Did Trump suddenly become un-insane? lol
