Those idiots took pool cleaner. Nobody told them to do that, Not one person said, "Here, drink pool cleaner." We don't even know if they had the virus. They might have been taking this proactively, which would make their actions even more idiotic. There is a reason we find tags on pillows that say, "Not for human consumption."

It is political but not like you think. I am glad Pelosi is doing her usual shtick. It is going to bite the Democrats in the ass. Yay her!!!!!!

maybe you replied to the wrong post as that just makes no sense

Trump was just wrong when he said that we were at 15 infected, going down, soon to be zero, like magic

Trump made a guess, he was wrong...

Granted, more research is needed, but it seems a little too good to be true that a person would go from having breathing problems and symptoms severe enough for him to be hospitalized and willing to take off-label drugs for to "like nothing ever happened" in such a short amount of time.

I remember seeing that a drug trial in Europe saw people return to normal over 6 days time, not a handful of hours.

Most who will get coronavirus will not need medical intervention or medication, they will get better on their own and some will not have symptoms. The medication is used when needed only, as all medications should be.

You have to counter his kneejerky defenders somehow. Trump could be eating your children and you'd be fetching ketchup

Whatever he does, (or far more likely doesn't do) at this point the fact remains that Doctor Bonespurs disbanded the Office of Pandemic Awareness in 2017. That was formed in the wake of the Ebola epidemic which was a wake-up call to all of us that a big pandemic of some kind was likely and coming and we promptly "elected" an *******-in-chief whose first main duty was to eradicate all his predecessors' achievements so we could go back to sleep and continue dreaming of the '50's

The thing to remember is that epidemics of this kind are not uncommon and the Pandemic Awareness people were formed just to deal with them, to go into foreign countries and contain those epidemics in those foreign countries. Once they're contained we develop cures and vaccines and Covid 19 becomes the laboratory curiosity it should have been. This WAS being done all the time, routinely. Yes, that's money we spend in another country and it accrues a major benefit to that country. No, it's not "America First" but the idea is that we don't want to be "America Second" when the epidemics come here.

That's absolutely NOT what you were saying. You only used the 15 infected as support to your main point that Trump was trying to steal the credit for identifying the hydroxychloroquine solution. Typically hypocritical-leftist trying to change the story even though the facts are right here before us - next is to deny the facts are what they are, that we're just seeing it wrong.

Just a few posts ago you were doing everything but calling for it to be released from helicopters. While it's in trials it should be used ONLY on people who need serious help immediately.

How about positive testing Rand Paul? Will he volunteer as the first guinea pig should he get sick?
Does this mean I can get my percocets back?

What do you not understand about people who need medical intervention and those who do not? Not everyone will get sick enough to even go to a doctor, therefore they won't get or need the medicine. You seem so confused about that. Yes, I think the medicine should be readily available for those in hospitals, mostly those in critical condition.

First this is another blantant diversion when you can't address the topic and have been refuted. That being said just for the record.
It was recommended by a staff of experts including former members of Obama staff the the separate office was not needed and the functions were being duplicated and it was rolled into other CDC and NIH agencies and has had no effect on our response here. So stop with the canard.

From the Washington Post article that has been previously posted several times and I have no doubt you read.

"It is true that the Trump administration has seen fit to shrink the NSC staff. But the bloat that occurred under the previous administration clearly needed a correction. Defense Secretary Robert Gates, congressional oversight committees and members of the Obama administration itself all agreed the NSC was too large and too operationally focused (a departure from its traditional role coordinating executive branch activity). As The Post reported in 2015, from the Clinton administration to the Obama administration’s second term, the NSC’s staff “had quadrupled in size, to nearly 400 people.” That is why Trump began streamlining the NSC staff in 2017."

Now back to the topic here, there are plenty of other threads on this canard.

I think the historians will see differently.

"In 1952 alone, nearly 60,000 children were infected with the virus; thousands were paralyzed, and more than 3,000 died."
    https://www.npr.org/sections/health...ng-out-polio-how-the-u-s-snuffed-out-a-killer

In just over 4 weeks since the first case of COVID 19 in the United States

    • Total cases: 44,183
    • Total deaths: 544
Extrapolate that to a year and

    • Total cases: 530,196
    • Total deaths: 6,528
And we have probably not hit our peaks yet.

So stop with the trying to slough it off as some inconsequential even GEEEZ and you guys accuse Trump of trying to marginalize it.

There is that self assured arrogance, just assume your political opposition does not know the definition of a common word. How self assured, how wrong.

That's prevarication, and I have reported you for bad faith posting.

That's what I said. That's what they did. I think it's safe to say that virtually everyone agrees on that point.

I was going to post that but I read that the local government there says they've only had 68 cases reported so the doctor's statements are, at least for now, unverified. I sure hope it's true; I really hope we weren't duped. I'm waiting to hear more about the doctor and his claims.
