ABSOLUTLY. The idea that they may not be is antithetical to the legal system. Now if they say he doesnt have to provide them it will be on a very narrow standing that he is the POTUS. But once he leaves office they will become available I don't give dems any more credibility when it comes to these types of things than I do republicans. It's all politics. But I have said for a very long time that every elected official at the federal level should have to release their taxes before entering office, and every year they are in office. These guys are ALL crooks. We have career politicians who literally make millions every year. Its disgusting to watch.
They shouldn't have needed to... certain committees are allowed access by law, which was completely ignored by this cesspool of corruption...
sure they did...they attempted to organize the EC to vote against what the law mandated, in disregard of the power the Constitution gave the states, against the President
There was. Michael Cohen, who was acting as Trumps lawyer at the time pointed out the financial improprieties in his own congressional testimony. His own Lawyer said he was committing a federal crime of Tax Evasion.
Only states where he has lived or did business.. Off the top of my head, that would included NY, NJ, Nev, and Fla at a minimum...
once again you are wrong. what he alledged was that the trump organizationed attempted to under value their properties for property tax purposes. Which is not uncommon for businesses to do. moreover we don’t pay federal property taxes and thus there is no federal crime...or crime at all
Quote Trump's attorney saying that and why is Cohen so believable now? Cohen committed his own financial improprieties and tax fraud and campaign violations on his OWN financials. "But a lawyer for Mr. Trump, Charles J. Harder, provided a written statement on Monday, one day after The Times sent a detailed description of its findings. “The New York Times’s allegations of fraud and tax evasion are 100 percent false, and highly defamatory,” Mr. Harder said. “There was no fraud or tax evasion by anyone. The facts upon which The Times bases its false allegations are extremely inaccurate.”" https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/10/02/us/politics/donald-trump-tax-schemes-fred-trump.html
Exactly... you are getting it... Cohen committed crimes Cohen said Trump also committed similar crimes (or the same crime for Stormy), although Trumps would be on a much larger scale of course. Grand Jury wants to find out more It's the All-American story.. UP the food chain..... EDIT - BTW, Harder's denials ring about as true as Putin's do for meddling...
Loans are given on agreed value. You ever bought or refinance a mortgage? Did you just walk in and tell the bank how much it was worth and they said "OH OK here's your loan?". They take what you appraise it at and then do their own appraisal and then you both agree to the amount.
If the bank simply gave loans based on what the customer says the value is that bank would be out of business in a week.
"His own Lawyer said he was committing a federal crime of Tax Evasion." Not Trump's attorney. And the Stormy Daniels story went nowhere.
You have been consistently wrong on that why do you keep repeating it? I have consistently said Presidents CAN be investigated and are investigated as occurred in the Clinton investigations It is your side that has said otherwise pointing to Mueller's false statements about his investigation.
Not if said bank were, say, laundering money for a foreign country and had a virtually unlimited source of funds...
nah businesses attempt to do that all the time. Moreover, banks have their own appraisers value the properties when they give loans...which highlights the flaw in believing Cohen...a felon the dems got in bed with because all their other hoaxes blew up
One of Trump's many many many lawyers over the years.... not his current one... The Stormy story went to the State Prosecutors, since the Federal prosecutors refused to do their jobs.. SNIP The U.S. House Oversight Committee on Friday asked prosecutors to produce documents and evidence in the case, saying they wanted to get to the bottom of the decision to charge Cohen but no one else. “The committee is seeking to determine whether the internal Department of Justice policy against indicting a sitting president — the same policy that prevented Special Counsel Robert Mueller from bringing an indictment against President Trump for obstruction of justice in the Russian election interference investigation — played any role in your office’s decision not to indict President Trump for these hush money crimes,” the committee’s chairman, Maryland Democrat U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings, wrote in the letter. ENDSNIP https://apnews.com/0543a381b39a42d09c27567274477983 I bet Berman can talk about that in his meeting with Nadler this week....
