You don't think people with lower populations are entitled to representation in Congress?

How are the states allocated votes for the EC?

Indeed. It's a good thing; not a bad thing.

No, these are laws passed by the state's legislatures, and signed into law by the Governors. This will have to be fought before the SCOTUS. The laws are ambiguous in it's enforcement because it is up to the Sec of State as to when to utilize the law, and as you pointed out, it disenfranchises every voter in the state. I have no doubt that the SCOTUS will throw the laws out, but the harm to this nation will be immense.

Nothing here changes the fact you know the popular vote, and the margin of 'victory' from same, does not matter.

No. He got the message about his dis-respect for the majority in 1994.

So does the senate. That's not going to change, either.
The US isn't a democracy - our system of government is not predicated in the idea that the majority always rules.

Thank goodness we have a military that would escort a whining Orange Oaf out of the White House.

Facts and the fact remains the people voted in their states for their state Electors as in how the President is chosen. You can try to ignore civics 101 but it doesn't make it go away. The fact remains there has never been a single American citizen to cast a direct vote for President in the history of the country. There has never been a national election in this country they do not exist. Your claims otherwise are fallacious strawman arguments. So stop pretending there was a national popular vote in 2016 or any other time in this country.

This country, for all the blather coming from both sides, is mostly peaceful. The vast majority of recent BLM protests are without incident. The same goes for marching militias.
An insulting, hateful generalization. If Democrats are so bad, why are you still living in such a terrible country?

IMO, any official who enforces a law that clearly violates the US Constitution is a felon.
The size and power of government at every level needs to but reduced quickly.

For instance, the 2nd amendment has never been at all ambiguous.

I haven't looked a Biden's website, so I don't know if he is angling to regulate gun parts, but the idea is bound to fail in practice. In the future, 3D-printed guns will be even easier to make.

If it's drawn out, or however it unfolds, if Biden wins, then I say as a Trump supporter, so be it. Biden will be our President for the next four years. If Trump wins, same thing. Piece of cake, man. In the last presidential election, I had already made peace with the idea that Clinton was going to be our next President. I didn't like it...but so what? I've spent most of my life not getting what I wanted, or maybe it was wanting what I couldn't have. At any rate, I'm used to it. This isn't war. It's just Democracy. You have to take the good with the bad. And both sides have good and bad. I also believe in God, and that all things will work out in the end.

Actually, if you read the Federalist Papers, the Electoral College was created for a second look at the results if the powerful office of President was about to be filled by someone who shouldn't hold it.

Aren't you in fact objecting to weighting votes so that individuals in less populated states have more say in who becomes President?

Trump is slowly losing ground at this point.

    I don't think so...

This will be an uphill task after a divided GOP deals with the Trump aftermath.

I can just imagine how knotted your knickers would be if someone was lecturing you about the USPS if the proverbial shoe was on the other foot.

Stealing someone's vote by preventing them from voting or stuffing the ballot box is one of the more disgusting things people do. I don't have much respect for anyone who would do that.

Okay, go ahead and tell us what those interests would be.
    Oh, please. <gag><spit>
Representative democracy is at the heart of who we are. It's a process grafted on a constitutional federal republic.

It's not hard because Clinton got the most votes. We've gone from most people living on a farm 150 years ago to less than 2% today.

So much for democracy. :( Why don't we just let folks in small states vote and tell people in California, Texas, Florida, and New York they don't have a say?
