Yes, essentially if person is old like 90 and more years old, has no issue with heart, kidney, cancer etc such person normally dies due to viral pneumonia, since bacterial pneumonia is usually treatable.
Once very old person gets into the hospital, he/she stops breathe and dies due to Pulmonary edema. Normally no one is looking at what kind of virus caused the death, it could be corona virus, adeno virus, rhinovirus etc etc.
As a rule patient dies from the virus that is most active at this time of the year. It could be flu virus as well.
