Most typically, the cold war is considered to have been a match between capitalism and communism. Neither is commonly considered a religion.

OK, if capitalism and communism are two examples of 'religions', and belief in anything constitutes 'religion' then I suppose its true that 'religion' tends to cause wars.

However, I don't think a planet full of nihilists is going to be any less violent. The wars would prolly be smaller but more frequent.

 

Banks were no less culpable in the statism, violent persecution of competing 'religions' and political manifest destiny of Soviet Russia. In many cases, it was 'Western' banks, corporations and foundations bankrolling both sides.

 

I don't know and cannot speculate as the world will never be full of people who believe that life is meaningless and rejects all religious and moral principles.

I do agree that Western banks funded WWII. They made sure they would come out ahead of the East before letting the U.S. join in the fighting. That is how the U.S. grew it's military complex. They squeezed the rest of the allies till they could squeeze no more wealth out of them.

To the winner goes the spoils, and the U.S. made sure that there were many spoils for itself.
