Your comments on this issue prove that minorities ARE oppressed and you dare say that it's a narrative? Wow.

Feel free to quote any lawyer site to back up that claim.

Moronic. Cop fired immediately as he should have been.

I didn't because I cooperated, but go ahead and refuse to do so when you get stopped.

I agree. The reality is, he will receive a settlement that is a fraction of that, and the police department will be required to provide sensitivity training for the remaining officers.

YEP and that is grounds to stop someone and especially with easily faked temp tags confirm ownership. It helps protect us from car theft and people not registering and paying the taxes on the vehicles. Sorta like handicapped parking placard abuse. So don't argue, don't resist, don't refuse to follow their lawful orders. If you want to chose to do otherwise go ahead.

As he had a right to do, as the officers orders were unlawful.

You call it in. Most likely the 911 operator will ask you to describe the driver or other things about the van to see if it even fits their suspect.

Most certainly the police should not hold every van that fits the description at gunpoint.

I think the cops reacted to his passive aggressive nature with acceptable force. He was a pretty big guy, in shape. Not some 150 lb yapper.
We didn't see the first part before he was sprayed.

They did not issue any lawful orders. He was under no obligation to exit his vehicle or provide the officers with anything. Which is why he was let go, and why he will be receiving a settlement.

There is a better video here. https://www.npr.org/2021/04/11/9862...pepper-sprayed-black-army-lieutenant-is-fired

The Cops in this video did not tell the Army Lt. why they were interested in the Lt.

How about the US constitution instead?

    4th amendment.

Or, I'll quote the US constitution.

The entire body cam video, starting with the officer in his car, was posted earlier in the thread.

He wasn't being passive-aggressive. That's just your spin on it to make this incident justifiable. The officer sets the tone for each stop and this one failed miserably in that regard. The man's size had nothing to do with it and trying to imply that something else "must have happened" before the part we all saw is just rationalization.

He wasn't searched or seized until he broke the law. See, all your refusal does is prove to me "liberals" are afraid to find so much as one lawyer site to back up their claims, and "liberals" have always been open-minded to lying to people of color about their rights and getting them killed.

I didn't check anybody's posting history but I wouldn't be surprised if the "comply or die" cheerleaders are all wearing their masks. ;-)

You either aren't being honest or you defending the idea of police pulling over EVERY car with a temp tag they see with guns drawn. Which is it?
