That is Capital and Local police, he has no authority over them. And once those at Capital Hill finally called for federal troops you don't just snap a finger and they suddenly appear. Had you listened to the hearings we have already had those troops had to be called into the armory where they could suit up and get armed and briefed, the proper sign offs to use federal troops in DC had to be accomplished then the troops transported to the Capital. It takes time. Too bad those in charge including the mayor turned down the previous offered additional security.

 

He's in charge of protecting the country, according to his oath. You're claiming it's OK for the President to do nothing while our Capitol is attacked? You want to see how much of the electorate agrees with you? Watch the polls.

 

Pelosi asked McCarthy for 5 repubs to be on the commission. We put up a vote for a bipartisan committee in the Senate, and they didn't vote for it. So, this is what is available. Republicans do not want anyone to know the truth, they just want to sweep it under a rug.

Trump created the volcano. He didn't need to specifically command it to explode, he only needed to fill it with lava and fan the flames, then light the match, which he did.

Ashli Babbitt's family deserves to deal with their loss privately and not have Trump and his campaign exploit it.

Former President Donald Trump regretted not lowering the White House flag for Ashli Babbitt, the Capitol rioter who was killed in the January 6 unrest, the Daily Beast reported.

An unnamed person with knowledge of the matter told the outlet that Trump has privately complained that he didn't lower the flag. He made the private comments as recently as two weeks ago, the report said.

Babbitt, an Air Force veteran, was fatally shot by law enforcement as she stormed the Capitol with Trump supporters.

The public has a right to know ALL the details of this homicide investigation. And I have never handed any of my money over to the Trump family if you have that is YOUR problems and this topic has nothing to do with it.

 

Pelosi asked for 5 RECCOMENDATIONS.........................she alone picks the members and we see who she picked. Republicans are the ONLY ones who want to know the truth, release the results of the investigation by people properly authorized and capable of an investigation, law enforcement. Democrats want Trump impeachment 3.0 that's all and I'm quite sure that applies to you.

Trump's most recent "rally" and screech made this an issue of spin and framing. He did not wait for any report before the twist? He's focused on the "fundraising" levers.

It has everything to do with Trump.

According to Republican Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville, he spoke with the President at approximately 2:13 PM, and told the President that the break-in had occurred and VP Pence was being removed from the Senate chamber due to the danger. Shortly thereafter House Minority Leader Representative Kevin McCarthy spoke with the President and requested that he call off the rioting Trump supporters. Trump apparently replied: "Well, Kevin, I guess these people [the rioters] are more upset about the election than you are." More recent reports now say that Ivanka Trump watched the riot on a tv in her White House office and appealed to her father, in the Oval Office, to intervene immediately.

At 2:24 PM, Trump tweeted: "Mike Pence didn't have the courage to do what should have done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. [What was he talking about? The joint session was reviewing certifications from all fifty states (and the District of Columbia) signed by the Governors and Secretary of States, at that moment.]

At 2:38 PM, with the riot inside the Capitol building still raging, Trump tweeted: " Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful." But, we didn't ask them (his supporters) to leave the building.

At approximately 3:07 PM Babbitt was shot and killed as she broke into the Speaker's Lobby to the House, through a window. He tweeted again, at 3:13 PM: " I am asking everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law and Order - respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you." Babbitt was already dead and still no demand that his supporters immediately leave the building.

That didn't come until 4:17 PM by video. [I want to know exactly when that video was made, by whom.] Both McCarthy and McConnell on the House and Senate floors, the next day, spoke and held the President responsible for the riot.

Had Trump responded immediately to the break-in as asked, it's likely his supporters would have left the building and Babbitt would still be alive.

 

It's always revealing to see the Left's interpretation of their political opponents like the OP. They virtually always project their own beliefs and ignore their massive hypocrisy.
