    Big mistake.My proof ... YouTube's { Mustie1 }
The guys a genius at spotting left out items by the road for
trash collection. In fact, that is what he does. He's a master mechanic
who works solo.In fact,he doesn't even like let alone prefer new stuff.
He's one of many YouTubers who live to fix-up { repair or make like
new } discarded stuff. He does have a weak spot for Older VW's
and small engine Motorcycles. But he tackles anything with an
    engine.Old Lawnmovers,Snowblowers,you name it.
However its something he's done over and over since childhood.
Those are the kinds of Guys I respect and pay heed.
He's also not afraid of dirt or dusty stuff. He digs right in and
fixes stuff.I sometimes wish I was half the man he is.
Maybe a quarter of the man. He's also a great videographer.
His videos are edited to perfection.Great playback.Lighting, sound,
and viewing of his subject matter. He also talks to himself as he
works. No need to surround himself { Literally } with buddies like this
    Cleetus McFarland.

My neighbor supplies us with fresh eggs from her chickens weekly, not those flavorless, pale imitations one purchases at the store. Even Eggland brand cannot compare. Fresh eggs, not a problem. Precooked and nitrate laden processed 'bacon', not so much.

The fastest way to get rid of the stuff you don't want, is to stick a sign on it $5. It will be gone by morning. :)

I was persuaded to try that. It tasted pretty good, but IMO, not as good as with a little salt and butter.

Among my many buisnesses is managing storgae units.. and I often end up with a lot of junk left behind.. (storage rental must be cheaper than renting a dumpster!) I did manage to sell some.. delivered and gave away some more.. some we kept.. two PU loads have gone down to Cd, chihuhahua were son and D-I-L have sold it in the segundas (second hand sales) they even got $200 dollars!, not pesos, for an old upholsterd couch! we moved out of one of the BnBs and I joke that maybe we have been in the wrong business all these years. At one time I just moved the salvagable stuff into a couple of the storage untis,, but I am now filled up and need those storage untis for paying customers.. I tho't they had, or I was told they have , a 2nd Saturday swap meet up the road.. but I have not been able to verify that.. which would seem to indicat that if they do, it is not well advertised.. and it IS 60 miles trhu th emountains to get there.. so I'll wait until I can find out for certain.. regardless.. if I make the trip.. it is one way for the junk I'll be hauling.

The problem is that I'd be too embarrassed by the neighbors knowing what I have. The junk, that I want to get rid of, isn't worth free.

Ever notice that Todays Eggs { all cartons } have expiration dates
Growing up in the 50's and 60's all refrigerators had egg trays inside.
Those eggs did not have expiration dates.
    Plus there were was a Milk Man.Milk { 3.5 %} was protected
by the small cream curd on the top of the milk bottle
Milk came in bottles. No so sure about the Milk Man.
He may have came that morning from being hen-pecked
    at home.

It also depends on what type of grits you are cooking. Three times as much water as grits. Scramble fry some pan sausage and add to the grits also a little cheese. Great breakfast dish.

Left over grits can also be dipped in whipped egg, rolled in flour and fried in hot oil. They make a nice side dish.

I've seen recipes where it is bread crumbed and fried.
I've yet to encounter anything that isn't improved by being bread crumbed and fried though.

How the heck do you dip grits in egg?
    It sounds interesting, though.

Long john Silver's.. an American Fast food chain that fries fish (go figure) includes what they call 'crackles" which is just the batter, it came with the fish, but was so popular that you could order 'em separate

When grits get cold they will be about the consistency of a bread pudding that is easy to slice.

Fooli what a dismal existence.. I cannot go anywhere with out being among acquaintances I've known for decades and who I know immanently many of the events in their lives (and births and deaths).. the only time I can be alone is when I sequester myself in the bedroom with my remote (wifey has permanent dibs on the sofa in front of the big screen)

Oh, goodness yes. Even the most mundane comment will be repeated with your name. Only good spoken, speak with caution.
