The core issue of slavery was if the slave was a person. Slave owners said they were not......dehumanizing a victim makes it easier to abuse or kill them. Tell us again how an unborn child is not a person......

It is not even part of society and therefore does not even rights and it cannot even survive apart from the pregnant woman carrying it. Even if it is not what you want to say, the implication of the position that puts a woman's life below that of a piece of protoplasm and holds that a woman must give birth once pregnant "because moral duty" is one that strips her of all her rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Thus it is much more accurate to compare the anti-abortionist position to slavery than that of those who support it.

Firstly, this thread is not one about late-term abortion and you pretending that to be the case is just ridiculous; most abortions are in fact performed on pre-viable fetuses and arguing those are anything more than a piece of protoplasm is just wrong. Secondly, viability is, in my opinion, irrelevant to the topic since a fetus is literally part of the woman's body until it is born. It has no - and cannot have any - rights before birth. PS. PLease stop pretending your mystical position has anything at all to do with science.
