And your claim is false anyhow by reason that you have no proof that implementing those policies would have worked in the US. Hate to break it to you but both of your examples are of very small countries with very small borders. You could fit New Zealand in Colorado...just one of our States. You could fit S. Korea in Kentucky. Add to that a completely different set of laws that has to be looked at and culture...you have no idea if those policies would have worked, even if they could have been done legally.

 

Who is paying for the vaccinated in the hospital?

I am not saying you should be denied treatment for COVID should you show up needing hospitalization for it and being unvaccinated, only that you are an unprincipled and immoral hypocrite if you do. I am pleading with conservatives based upon their existence as moral beings and I believe I will fry that up for dinner as it's about as fat a chance as I am likely to encounter today.

 

How so? Are not approaching and even exceeding 90% of the people hospitalized for COVID unvaccinated? Can you cite numbers supporting that contention if you say that is untrue?

 

No, they don't. They falsely assume that if they get covid, it will be just a mild flu. Then, when they get it and start having trouble breathing, they RUN, not walk to the next emergency room. Now, that wouldn't be a problem if it is one or two of those cases. However, when it is 10,000s at the same time, it overloads healthcare services and prevents other, responsible and vaccinated people from using said services, or get paxlovid, which is hogged by the un-vaccinated, because predictably, they tend to have more severe symptoms.

Now, I think the OP's point is valid, if the anti-vaxxers would stick to their attitude that covid is just like the flu, why don't they just stay at home when they get really sick? Their awesome immune should take care of it, no?

It is not surprising, though, the anti-vaxxers are the same that hate paying taxes and rail against social services, but they are the first in line to use those services, should they fall on hard times. The hypocrisy is astounding.

Now, can you name me a single person that has died due to not getting treatment because of an unvaccinated person? Just one? Don't speculate. Give hard proof.

 

Of those 90%, how many are healthy people and how many have other illnesses? You are omitting the main factors in covid hospitalizations.

 

I don't know and why does that matter? Are you arguing that we have this sudden and completely coincidental series of epidemics of other diseases and that it is these that are causing the overwhelming of our hospital's resources?

 

Americans are fat and sick. The risk for healthy people is far too low to justify forcing them to consume a pharma product. The sick and frail should consider taking it.

 

Why don’t we ban old people and people with disabilities from going to a hospital? That would definitely save some hospital space.
Also, why not ban vaccinated from going to a hospital too? They are protected, so they should be turned away when they show up.

 

I agree, that’s a wrong assumption - it’s milder than that.
