The fact that there is a stalemate is not important (that's what I predicted would happen at the start anyway.) What is hugely damaging is the specified date for when Ukraine will run out of air defensive missiles. There will be nothing to stop Russia flattening cities like Kiev using planes. If this happens Russian troops will get to the Polish border. NATO will then be brought directly into the war. That would also be the green light for China to invade Taiwan

Russia invaded Ukraine and I support Ukraine's fight to reverse that. If you can find the 'same old lies' in there somewhere then I have badly overestimated your perceptive ability. Personally I doubt you have much of a clue about 'Vietnam & communism' given your laughably bad understanding of histor yevery time the topic arises.

Shame on you for supporting Russia's invasion of Ukraine and falling for Russian lies worse tha nanything America told during the Vietnam war. Guess you just keep getting fooled.

None of that is going to happen. Ukraine is going to have to make some very hard choices and NATO may have to speed up deployment of patriot batteries. None of that will result in an army that can't take one small city rampaging across Ukraine to the Polish border. Russian logistics are so awful they would struggle to do that against even light resistance.

As for China, it simply lacks the ability to invade Taiwan if Taiwan chooses to fight. China can't move and supply enough people. Further, the US ability to intervene remains powerful given that it will overwhelmingly be air & sea based. China would have to attack US territory to curtail this threat, which would guarantee a war with America. If it did not America would intervene anyway. Beijing knows all of these things.

Looks like this is the case -- running out of air defense by end of next month is bad - for the folks in the trenches near encircled already .. with air support it will be a massacre.
"NATO speed up deployment of Patriot" .. LOL -- that time has passed -- and would never be able to get enough systems -- and not a good system anyway covering only part of the air theatre .. useless against the drones and cruise missiles coming to destroy it .. which is tough.. but no worry about .. could never get enough patriot systems in place and supplied in this short timeline even if they wanted to - and they don't want to .. so your comment is ridiculously backwards ..

What Ukraine needs to maintain its air defense is more S-300 missiles - some of which exist outside of Russia -- but won't be enough even if the nations who have them were willing to send.

On February 16 the NATO Secretary General warned donor countries of weapons and munition shortages and the need to transform their factories into weapons factories so no that was nothing new. Besides Russia sends out drones to test Ukraine’s air defense.

So you never said Russia was getting slaughtered? The NATO Secretary General warned Ukraine was running out of munitions back on February 16. Russia deploys drones to test Ukraine’s defense system. NATO isn’t nearly as strong as so many want the world to believe. Most NATO countries are soft and not prepared for direct confrontation with Russia. Both Macron and Schultz are looking to China if you haven’t been keeping up with European news.

And if the US gets directly involved with Russia and China what’s to stop NK from attacking SK?

No, I never said that Russia was getting slaughtered. I proposed in the first week of this war that there will be a stalemate and tens of thousands of people will be killed with nothing to show afterwards. Now that Russia have been given a date when it is estimated that Ukraine will run out of missiles you can bet that Russia will increase the amount of drones sent over and count how many missiles are launched and compare to previous defenses. And in the background the Russian air force will be readied. China will be monitoring closely NATO's reaction

I also posted this YouTube clip of a British comedy to highlight the absurdity of this war:

    https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yZT-wVnFn60&ved=2ahUKEwiRwY-Itqz-AhVGTcAKHThiBogQwqsBegQICRAG&usg=AOvVaw0XgN31gMtRig2-OSxuioY4

BtW I am European and probably receive more reports about how the war is going than that shown in the US.

Dont know where their cyber transport facility is, but that kind of thing was pretty much impossible in the SCIF when I was in. Granted...that was almost 20 years ago.

If I could pick a Regular Army soldier from any country in the world to fight 1v1, it would not be a South Korean. Those guys are impressively dangerous.

In 2020 we needed a password to get into and update Veterans records.did things change. The Veterans website at that time was called My Healthy Vet. Not everyone with a CAC was allowed to update a Veterans record. If a veteran works for the VA and has a disability rating he cannot go into the. Veterans Data Base and change the rating.

IT often has access to the databases and the raw data, as well as file shares and the like

not to mention the big brother software they install on most pc and laptops nowadays, they have admin rights to these things

Of course IT does have and need access. There are audit trails in the VA systems that will capture even a read only look at Veterans records. Therefore if I went in and looked at my record the audit trail will show that I went in and there in a date stamp to show when and what time.

NK I am sure would use an opportunity to attack SK if we get into it with Communist China. Or as we used to call it RED CHINA.

Information like this is static. Basically useless, its 2 month, at least, old. Supply is fluid, changes every day. Russia does not have the ground force capacity to take the Ukraine, neither equipment wise or personal wise and it does not have the logistic capabilities.
I am a European, served during the cold war and was told about the gigantic war machine the USSR had. I even became a pro. It turned out to be all false information, or bad information. The USSR and its allies were paper tigers.
We see the same with the all mighty Russian Army, everybody was so scared of and some still are. Looks all mighty on paper, but it is hollow, hot air.Their logistic reach per 24h is less than 50km. That's the reason why they cannot even take to Dombas, Luhansk and Donesk. What little they have taken cost them around 200,000 and over 10,000 of their military equipment destroyed.
Russia became a victim of its own propaganda.

agree, some systems are better at auditing than others, but IT often can access at levels that bypass that

I'm pretty sure you had IT people working the computer systems in your SCIF, and they would have had the highest clearance for the info on those systems.

I don't want to be accused of bringing partisanship into an issue in which it has no relevance, so I'll put the question to the thread. I have heard reported that this Guardsman was one who dwelled, and felt most comfortable, among the "Alt Right" crowd. Should that have affected his ability to get the security clearance access, to this material?
