Felons can't buy guns in Michigan; Chicago can have the strictest laws in the country but won't change a damn thing until they deal with the criminals and crime. The idiot mayor deployed 100 yellow vested peacekeepers lol . Basically, previous gang members to whistle on the street corner lol. I guess anything to keep the police from arresting murders....

You point to one year and claim it indicative of something it is not

Minders in Chicago peaked in the 1970’s

Owning a gun is not a right. That right can be taken away…..the SC has upheld that ;)

The “a well regulated militia being necessary…..”

Obviously the addition of 200 million more guns, CCW licenses becoming much easier to get and McDonald V Chicago ridding Chicago of its unconstitutional gun ban didn't make things worse

Nothing makes me laugh harder than someone who cites this and clearly has no ability to argue why that matters. What right do you think exists that cannot be taken away by due process of law.

I agree. But isnt the sheer number of Gina’s and the access to them part of the problem ?

No. It’s actually the exact opposite.

Its the right that clambers to Chicago as THEIR example…..hmmmm, i wonder why that is…..what could it be about that city that draws their ire….hmmmmm…

Then hire more cops, put the perps with illegal guns in jail. You see this chicken and egg argument is getting old. You want to make life easy for crime, so criminals graduate to violent crime, then get illegal guns, then do violent crimes and you guys think not letting noncriminals have guns is the best course of action. It's really damn simple to see where the problem lies.

We have a defund the police, soft on criminals DAs and really a George Soros problem in this country. Soros spends millions getting these pro-criminal law enforcement officials elected for reasons that are hard to fathom.

Could it be the weekly body count that neither Biden or Obama never seem to want to acknowledge?

Russia, the Philippines, Argentina and Brazil are just much like the US as any of the "Industrialized" but they still have higher homicide rates than the US and much stricter gun laws.
    Why?

The "Industrialized" Norway, Germany, UK etc are not comparable to the US in any but the most superficial ways.

The following source explains more thoroughly the many ways that the US differs from "industrialized" / "developed" countries:

"The Mistake of Only Comparing US Murder Rates to "Developed" Countries"
https://mises.org/wire/mistake-only...political thinking, with fewer guns per capita.

EXCERPT " Note, however, that these comparisons always employ a carefully selected list of countries, most of which are very unlike the United States.
They are countries that were settled long ago by the dominant ethnic group, they are ethnically non-diverse today, they are frequently very small countries (such as Norway, with a population of 5 million) with very locally based democracies (again, unlike the US with an immense population and far fewer representatives in government per voter).

Politically, historically, and demographically, the US has little in common with Europe or Japan.

The US has the highest murder rate in the "developed world" — presumably because of its lax guns laws —we are told again and again.

Few people who repeat this mantra have any standard in their heads of what exactly is the "developed" world. They just repeat the phrase because they have learned to do so." CONTINUED

    Thanks,

You know this statement is false.
If that's your standard, then you do not have a right to live..
The USSC discarded your argument 2 decades ago.

They rank around 14th in the country for murders per capita.
Some red state cities rank the highest for murder rates.

    Detroit
303 homicides. The homicide rate was 47.9 per 100,000.

    Milwaukee, Wis.
195 homicides. The homicide rate was 34.3 per 100,000.

    Atlanta
159 homicides. The homicide rate was 32 per 100,000.

    Kansas City, Mo.
156 homicides. The homicide rate was 30.7 per 100,000.

    Louisville, Ky.
192 homicides. The homicide rate was 30.5 per 100,000.

Your questions are in no way relevant to what I said.
    You know this, of course.
Just as you knew your statements were false when you made them.

Another snap shot of city murder rates. Again, Chicago isn't in the top 10

The FBI website has this disclaimer on population estimates:

For the 2019 population estimates used in this table, the FBI computed individual rates of growth from one year to the next for every city/town and county using 2010 decennial population counts and 2011 through 2018 population estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau. Each agency’s rates of growth were averaged; that average was then applied and added to its 2018 Census population estimate to derive the agency’s 2019 population estimate.[3]

Did Joe Biden mention all the guns in Chicago and all the people that were killed by them yet?

I see you dodged the question

Your claim is that owning a gun is a “right”. You have been shown that it is NOT a right as it can be revoked ;)
