No, I never said that: I merely posted some objective information. Do you ever read posts all the way through before flying off the handle? Please read what I posted, regarding the percentage of Aboriginal people drinking: Wasn't that clear enough for you? I made a point of placing that at the end of the next post in order to demonstrate that I was merely presenting some objective facts, and still you fly off the handle and ask me "you for real?". Please read posts properly before you act. I made an effort to bring the thread back on topic and you, mistakenly, interpreted it as my own views, when I clearly stated that was not the case.
No probs. I detest the excessive drinking and violence as much as anyone, however, I really don't know what the solution is. I've thought about it long and hard, yet I've never come up with a solution that seems acceptable (to me). Governments try (at times), yet nothing seems to work. One thing I do know, however, is that the use of racial slurs when discussing the problem is not going to help at all. Do you have some sort of solution in mind?
It is a hard thing to solve without resorting to harsh measures that the wider community will scream are racist. I do know that the softly softly approach needs to be dropped though and the community leaders themselves need to step up and be a larger part of any solution. I think goverments have tried throwing money at the aboriginal ( i use the full word here only so we can keep this on track) communities and that has been a big failure. I feel that by doing the P/C thing and creating aboriginal work centres, health centres, land councils ect we have created a bigger problem than what was there to begin with.
Yep, you're probably right there. And I'll admit that I would more than likely be one of the screamers. The harsher measures may indeed provide some long-term solutions, yet the underlying "racism" is certain to attract condemnation from certain groups. A very difficult problem, there's no denying.
Thats what i dont get, if the end justifies the means how can people say its racism? One of the local aboriginals that lives in town away from the others has tried to start programs to end the drinking and violence..they beat him half to death for it..
I`d like to see some of the PC ostriches living in, or near one of these communities for a couple of years. The violence, the racism, the general crime rate, might wake them up. A couple of stints in hospital can be a rude awakening.
http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/8360508/riot-squad-on-standby-after-house-fire so here we have yet another case of abo stupidity. Abo breaks into house and gets detained by the good folk living in the house. He dies as a result so the local "community" set the bloody house on fire...
I just can't take the argument of someone seriously if they think that an apostrophe belongs before any old random S.
so rather than deal with the real issue you would spend your time picking on a persons spelling? Sounds like a great way to just skip over the important issues bud...
LOL typical leftist bs...sidetrack a real issue with stuff that is really not that important. Lets NOT deal with abo crime and ignore it because the REAL issue is someone on the net cant spell properly....
That is the issue. Your lack of education shows through what you post. If you bothered to educate yourself then your ignorant rantings might charge. That is the issue.
If by educate you mean left wing nut job education that says its ok for the abos to do as they do then you can have it all to yourself. I like to be a realist and SEE what is happening out there and NOT ignore it.
Went down to barmah ( vic nsw border) over the weekend. Some idiot from the local abo camp tried to steal a car and when he couldnt get it to start he set fire to it. The car was right next to the gas bottles for the house and it all nearly went up in flames, with the old lady that lives in the house. At what point is Australia going to wake up to it all and say enough is enough? Probably once we remove the left wing nutjobs..
I've had some family relations with aboriginals and I was shocked at the reality of child abuse, including sexual, which occurs in many aboriginal communities amongst their own people. I completely understood and supported Howards actions but I know all too well the political left is too blind to the realities and too gutless to do anything except promote their own egocentric concepts of self-satisfaction and faux care.
Thats one of the big probs, these idiots think cos we said "sorry" and we have been throwing money at them hand over fist the problems will just go away..The abo's should be treated just as any other aussie would be. How many times has Abbott asked juLIAR to go with him to the NT and see what is going on so that their can be a solution formed to the problem...but she just ignores it.
Yeah, how egocentric of us to think that the criminal should be punished and not the community as a whole.
No, I'm sure the broadsword approach that carries with it the stepping on of civil liberties is the way to go.
So you think we should let them have booze so they can then go beat and rape their wives and kids...just so we dont infringe on some "civil liberties"..what a joke.
your the one saying it so you tell me... My thoughts on it are that we should do all we can to protect the kids. It seems to me that you are ok with kids getting beaten and raped.
