Psalm 75:4 -- To the arrogant I say, "Boast no more," and to the wicked, "Do not lift up your horns."

    #21 Texas - 5
    unranked Missouri - 17

    Good win for Missouri.

Boise lost. Not that I really care, other than I'm a little happy I don't have to entertain the idea of them playing for a title this year.

    Stanford took a whooping too.

Bowl games I'd like to see regardless of tradition

    championship- LSU vs Bama

OSU vs Oregon-- Of all games beside the championship I really want to see this game......I say give these 2 teams the Rose Bowl and the money which goes with it.

Boise vs Stanford- this game would be interesting

Arkansas vs OU- OU needs to defeat an SEC team with a good record. The Razorbacks are not the elite but their offense and defense would challenege OU.

Clemson vs the Big 10 champion- Clemson has earned a big money game

really not many games of interest this weekend unless you are interested in 2 Florida teams USF vs the U. It will be the battle of mistakes.

On December 3rd I will become an Oklahoma fan. This season's BCS championship has the opportunity for once having the 2 best teams in the nation actually facing each other.

I will clear my travel schedule if the right thing happens and we get to see LSU vs Bama one more time. There is no way I'm watching that game in a hotel lounge again if it's those 2 teams.

    SEC baby!!!!

Spoken like a true AdHD American. When excellent defenses execute well, it will beat excellent offense every time. On top of that, your now trying to compare the NfL to college football....lol. That is an epic fail right there. Want to know why NFL teams don't score 50 points a week? Because every defense executes well. It's a different system all together.

What you want is the ADHD version of football. Score on every play b/c I don't have time for slow methodical play calling, which is what football is. If you were a coach, you would realize this. Your just an ADHD fan who like my wife, wants to see a good passing game put up big numbers but doesn't understand how you get a good passing game downfield is controlled by what you do b/w the tackles.

Oh and by the way, where are all those Boise State lovers now!!!!!!

    Silence is golden right?....lol.

Just for the record I like BSU, I just think they get more hype then anything else.

Okie State vs LSU for it all!!! Holding TTU to 6 points is either making a statement or showing just how bad Oklahoma's defense really is.

HAT, I love you man but we part ways here.

OU will defeat OSU. Once that is done, nothing should stop Saban/Miles part 2

I want to see that game. Fans deserve the game. A championship game should have the 2 best teams playing.

I knew, as well as others, that the Cowboys were pretenders. Here's hoping Auburn knocks off "Bama (& the Razorbacks bounce LSU to boot)!

the Cowboys weren't pretenders. They are just a big fish in a small pond.

When then dust settles there will be no choice but undefeated LSU vs 1 loss Bama for the championship

the 2 best teams in the land

after the championship, both will have 1 loss

those 2 teams are that darn good

We've seen OSU, OU and Oregon go down and their lack of defenses exposed.

With that said, can you deny a 2 loss Arkansas from a top bowl game and put the poser teams ahead of them? I don't care if OSU beats OU.

With a loss to Bama and soon to LSU, Arkansas will only have lost to the best 2 teams in the nation.

With that said, what defense can there be for any 2 teams other than a 1 loss Bama vs an undefeated LSU for the championship? And, both teams have strength of schedule

Well, a really exciting weekend in NCAAF. After this, it's starting to become an LSU-Alabama title game favorite, after watching Oklahoma, Oregon, and Oklahoma State all go down. Clemson, who had a slim, outside shot, lost again, so that really puts them out of the question. Arkansas also has a slim chance, but they would have to beat LSU, which is going to be a great game.

Another weekend to drive my family nuts!!

I switch from game to game all day long.

My mainstay will be the Iron Bowl...Bama/Auburn...unless it becomes a blowout.

So the SEC has three good teams and the rest is crap. I guess that makes the conference pretty overrated. 3 out of 12 is hardly impressive.

Because the first time they played watching paint dry provided twice the excitement?

I guess the same place the Ok St, OU, Oregon and Stanford fans are. Since they've all lost. I guess tha means all of those teams were overrated since they lost to inferior competition or got blown out in their losses.

Um, you don't know what your talking about.

The SEC West has the Top 3 teams in the BCS in it. They occupy #1,2, & 3 in the BCS. There are 3 other SEC teams ranked in the top 25. That is half the conference.

So again you don't know what your talking about.

we didn't need the AP or a rankings to tell us that. There are a lot of haters of the SEC out there and i'll never understand why. It's the toughest conference with some of the best teams. Why not enjoy watching instead of bashing.......

Why you ask? Really? Here are some of the reasons why sports fans "hate" certain teams(or in some cases, leagues): 1)They win all the time - if it's not your team, you get sick of lookin' at 'em. 2) Their fans are jerks, who are arrogant, obnoxious, ignorant, snooty, stupid, punks or any combo of all or some. Or 3) Players on hate-able teams are hate-able themselves (see LeBron James). For me, the SEC became a league that I didn't care much for 'cause I got sick of them winning all the time to hate-able because of the arrogance of their fans on this site. Comments like "Boise St. is a high school team" make me lose respect for peoples opinions, since BSU is as good as any team in the country, except for Alabama & LSU, because of the defense those two teams play. Even though I respect the heck out of the SEC, I will root against them at every turn & cheer loudly when they lose. That's why.

and it's comments like that which demonstrate why you are not taken seriously

I can fully understand why someone nut hugs a certain team, I'm the biggest buckeye nuthugger on this board, but I'll never understand why someone roots for a conference. I find that odd. Personally, I could care less if a conference is doing poor/well during a season, as long as my team is doing well why should I care?

look at the past 5 BCS champions. After the game, do you hear a chant of XXX where XXX is the school............nope, you hear a chant of SEC, SEC

When coaches are interviewed after an intra-conference game they say "that's SEC football for you"

what is wrong with pride in your conference as well as school?

The athletes and coaches work hard to make the SEC the best darn college football conference.

It's retarded. Unless a conference is paying you, why would you care? I could care less about a Michigan, Penn St, Nebraska, etc...they are just another name on a schedule of geographically convient schools to play. And while the SEC has a good football program, they are jokes in half a dozen other sports. Does it actually matter to you if a team you could care less about from the SEC beats a team from another conference? I know if doesn't for me.
