    Fluke losses by USC relatively early in the season, have kept them from winning national championships a few times over the last 6-7 years. There were at least 2 times where by the end of the season, they were the best team, but a lapse meant they couldn't win the title. I get the feeling that will happen again next year.

    Now would be a good time to see who else in going into the draft this year.

    It could, but different coach and most importantly different players. I never believe in those trends like the curse of the bambino. Unless the players believe in it themselves it's a different set of circumstances. They played well this year anyway and return a ton. I'd say them and LSU have to be the favorites with LSU's QB yet to be proven.

    Meanwhile, my Rebs are getting a ton of good press. Lots of prognosticators picking them as a darkhorse Final 4 pick. They'll be even better next year.
