Some of his supporters have great ideals, but the intelligent ones now admit they picked the wrong guy to represent those ideals. Lord knows why they picked Trump. I still can't figure that one out.

Do you feel you picked the right man to correct those ills?

    Elections are rigged.

Republicans disenfranchised black voters in a handful of swing states that they needed to win. Democrats nominated a candidate no one likes.

I'm sure Jesus would have done better- but he wasn't on the ballot, and we have to choose from those that are. The person I would have preferred didn't survive the primaries.

Our system IS a sort of swamp, and our politics is in dire need of real management. Unfortunately, the structure of politics makes that difficult- but it simply had to change, to change direction. Continuing with the status quo was intolerable- and regardless of how this presidency fares, the rules of the game have changed.

Look up Lawrence Lessig, and his talks on TED. You might see politics in a new way.

Well put. It's funny how conservatives spent all those years insulting Marxists only to be taken over by Marxists. Down with globalism! Workers of the world unite!

You would need to direct any questions on why Obamacare was not repealed to tres, it's her go-along-to-get-along RINO cowards in Congress that promised and then refused to do anything about it.

Trump got elected because Hillary was so unpopular and an incredible amount of luck.

Trump got 63 million, Mitt got 61 million. Both Obama and Hillary got just under 66 million.

I didn't realize someone named "tres" was directing Congressmen how to vote, but could you be more specific about who promised to repeal it and did not deliver? I have lots quotes of Trump saying that, so from my perspective he is the one who looks like the big failure here. Unless "tres" is controlling him, too.

...or the more simple answer, America was fed up with the division Democrats have been fostering for decades. Your OP is an excellent case in itself as you finger point and insult the majority of Americans that allow you to live a liberal life style. I for one was kind of hoping liberal America would wake up and start being responsible citizens, but no it was not to be.

If that's the case then why is Trump so intentionally divisive?

    The answer is obvious.
The DNC and MSM conspired to nominate the only person on the planet that could not defeat him.

You know Hillary did not win a majority of the total vote, right?
What happens in a US Presidential election when no candidate gets a majority of the votes?

I voted for him to keep Hillary out of office.
Why would I do anything else?

Thank you and don't forget the illegal invasion of a sovereign nation resulting in eight years of war, destruction of Iraq's government, economy, and infrastructure while killing a million people. The causes of the war were bogus. If you are the incoming President, how do you explain all that to the world?

    Thank you.

Clearly it was a choice between two very poor candidates. The wise choice was the candidate with 25 years of experience. We now know that to be true. Americans are now paying for their mistake.

That is a stunning remark, coming from a Trumpian. Trump angers our allies and has lost their respect and support, while being chummy with our enemies, Xi and Putin.

Although he has only been in office a few months, Donald Trump’s presidency has had a major impact on how the world sees the United States. Trump and many of his key policies are broadly unpopular around the globe, and ratings for the U.S. have declined steeply in many nations. According to a new Pew Research Center survey spanning 37 nations, a median of just 22% has confidence in Trump to do the right thing when it comes to international affairs. This stands in contrast to the final years of Barack Obama’s presidency, when a median of 64% expressed confidence in Trump’s predecessor to direct America’s role in the world. Across the 37 nations polled, Trump gets higher marks than Obama in only two countries: Russia and Israel.

While the numbers are correct- Trump was elected with the same system that has been in force as long as we can remember. Had the situation been reversed, would Hillary have called for a "do-over"?

Trump's strategy simply outflanked the competition. And, it beat not only Hillary and the DNC, but all the polls, all the political whiz-kids and all the talking heads of the media. He also did it with 1/3 the money and 1/3 the staff.

While people are calling him dumb, they should be asking themselves how he did what everyone said was impossible, and indeed nobody in history has ever come close to matching- and, if that is "dumb", what kind of word illustrates the level of "dumbness" of are all those losers who thought they were smarter? .

One of the reasons Trump won is that he is not a politician; he brought real world business strategy and thinking into the electoral process that is normally totally controlled by the established political machines.
