I was on a site for politics called Buzz Dash and so was Flounder that is where we met. A group of us from that site came over here after Buzz Dash shut down. That was a fun little site. Flounder told me to find us a new site and this is where we landed. Changed, Flounder, Hill Billy, and a few others from that site. Some of them stayed, some left and some got banned.. :(

There is no cure for the Corn Virus.Nor is there for the seasonal
Flu { just a flu shot good for one year }.meaning there is NO Flu
vaccine.Nor is there an Aids vaccine. So there is no need to worry
about 24/7.The Corn Virus cannot be stopped. Most who get it won't
even know it.Some will know it and show symptoms.Much fewer may get
sick and die. What has happened in response to this Corn Virus will go
down in History as one of the most despicable responses ever in mankind.
Roughly each year 1.2 Million americans die from Heart Disease and Cancer.
Plus how come we aren't getting Death numbers {mortality } from those dying
of Seasonal Flu.There were *80,ooo deaths from the flu in 2018.
    60,ooo the year prior.

    * Actually over 80,ooo in the winter of 2017-2018.Less than a year.
    A season.

I recall when Smarty had some kind of Trip planned for members
of another message board. It might have been - Allforums -.
And Mikezilla went. Then Mikezilla came here. Then Mikezilla left here.
Yahoo came and went.Imdb no longer has boards.
I wonder if Mikezilla gets bored.
I wonder if Facebook can keep face.

Here is my discussion board story . . .

Reasonable people sometimes go overboard on Internet forums. When kids are involved they can be downright crazy. One of my daughters played competitive softball back in the early 2000s so we joined an online forum devoted to the sport. There was some trash talking, but mostly it was about teams looking for a second baseman who could hit with power (who isn’t looking for one?) or looking to schedule a practice game. As the summer wore on the trash talking got more serious and edgy. Then one day a parent accused an opposing coach of murder.

Needless to say the mods shut down the board. When they reopened it all posts had to be screened so of course the board died in a few weeks. The thing that I found interesting was that we didn’t use screen names. Everyone, including the parent who made the accusation, posted under their real names. And no, I never did figure out if there was a murder. Although I’m pretty certain there wasn’t.

Amazing how crazy it can get on some forums. Saddest story was a lady named SoulSearching who was married for the second time and miserably unhappy. Hubby was a manic depressive and she never knew what kind of mood he'd be in when he came home. But she was determined to make it work because she had 2 little girls and didn't want to put them thru another divorce. One girl lived in the same area as her (Virginia). She sent us a link one day to an article in the newspaper which reported early one Monday morning, her husband twisted off, shot and killed her and both children, set the house on fire and shot himself. We were stunned. He was an engineer and govt contractor in DC. I never got over that tragedy. You never know how bad some folks have it. :(

I miss him too and I also miss changed she was a keeper too. People come and go in one’s life and the memories become priceless especially the memories of the ones who just leave and you never hear from them again.

Hate it when they just quit showing up. Some who burn out on politics end up on Facebook. Still social media just less combative and most use their real name and post pix of their grandkids. Much better than losing touch. :)

Whatever, our state had gone from a thousand and more cases a day to down to less than a hundred a day that is remarkable. It can go up again but it can also go into single digits to none at all. I am hopeful that it will be less than newsworthy very soon.

Is that the same Hill Billy that lives over in NC?

There a have been a number of interesting people along the way, one or two I have met in person. I wonder at times if they've changed names and are lurking about even yet....

The only thing I remember about him he said he was a blue dog democrat. His avatar was a painting by George Rodrigue of a blue dog if that helps you. Did the hillbilly you knew use a blue dog avatar?

I have had the same feelings about people and their name changes. So familiar and yet a different name.

What happens when one has a bout of " the only thing I remember ".
Is what yer garden variety small time hood used in order to
not get locked out of the house when the local coppers drops
off at home after being booked.Used to be able to make book on
that from the Juvenile Deliquent 50's movies.

Yep, that's him. I forgot about the Blue Dog part... no wonder he gave up politics. Lol

He had a health scare a while back, but came thru it OK. His msgs are usually greeting cards just to stay in touch. Sweet guy with a great family.

Funny story... me and my old friend Scummy (Scumbalina) knew a guy called Dumby who used to work for Dick Cheney, etc. He went to WA state to meet her and came to Dallas to meet me. Rented a Cadillac and took me to dinner. Me and Scummy weren't too impressed with him in person. A little too braggy and had one eye that 'wandered when he was talking to you. He disappeared and we didn't hear from him again. But to this day, me & her always end our notes to each other with this:

    (o)( o)

    That's Dumby!

One time a member here was so pissed off at me they called me a rattlesnake. I was confused. A rattlesnake. WTF does that even mean? Flounder, God bless his soul, said that me being called a rattlesnake was a big compliment because rattlesnakes warn you before they strike.

Uh, somehow I just never thought of you in the Slutty Stripper Dancer category. That's going to take some serious getting used to.
