Junior is taking a cheap shot at the expense of the grieving family. I'm sure he saw this as a way to get back at Baldwin for performing comedy sketches about his father, which has been done to every POTUS by SNL for decades.

 

Luc, thanks for explaining how that all works. It's actually kind of scary that budget constraints can cut armorers. It seems like that would be a mainstay and they'd cut out other, less important, roles in production.

I'd hate to see this become about Baldwin being convicted or not and the authorities will focus on the root of this problem and things can be changed to ensure something like this can't happen in the future. Some things are just a given and safe and monitored control of weapons is clearly vital.

What did Trump do to Baldwin to deserve years of attacks? If you can't identify a slight, then the question is whether Trump's son selling tea shirts meets the standard that turnabout is fair play. What better way to mock a fierce opponent of the 2nd Amendment who killed with a gun?

Sure. But why does the family have to be the wounded victim in this? Junior makes a tshirt that he thinks is funny - meanwhile, a woman is dead and his family are grieving. I don't care about Baldwin at this point - it really has nothing to do with him.

I agree with this. However it does beg the question about why it was necessary to pull the trigger on a real (not a prop) revolver for a rehearsal of a scene. I don't think Baldwin was negligent in any way but my gun safety background would suggest saying "bang" instead of pulling a trigger in a practice would have been better. During the actual take it would be necessary to fire a blank. I understand that. Also it would have been better to use a gun that had been modified to fire only blanks. I blame the production company for that.
