Dear Gods and little fishes! What does he think women are - Cows and Goats? Do you want to tackle this or shall I - I mean there is a serious knowledge deficit there. I guess it is hard to for some to think of post birth babies

    https://www.cdc.gov/breastfeeding/faq/index.htm#howlong

this is complicated if the mother has to return to work of course. There are such things as breast milk banks where excess milk can be donated but they are rare and often underfunded

There doesn’t have to be a “conspiracy” when Americans are as uninformed as you seem to be. You brought up the military industrial complex. Is that a conspiracy? Are you in on it? Apparently because you are involved politically and the military industrial complex exists.

None of the talking heads (elected and unelected) told you the facts. The idea more money for the poorest to afford formula is ridiculous. If you knew the facts you would be able to see they are lying. Half of the formula consumed in the United States is already paid for by the tax payer and there is no expense to the consumer. That means EVERYONE below average income is already getting formula at NO cost. The idea we need more money for WIC purchases is nuts. But you didn’t know even middle class as well as ALL poor already have their formula purchased for them with taxpayer funds from government created and supported monopolies. Very similar to the military industrial complex you hate because your masters tell you to hate while feeding you disinformation about other government monopolies.

The result is at least half the country supports every monopoly because they don’t even know it exists or they are told by their masters it’s good and/or necessary.

Thanks for resorting to fallacious argument in the face of facts I present. It helps me expose the general lack of knowledge so prevalent in the general population.

And that “recipe” was sourced where? Tik Tok? Twitter? 4chan?

But I just love te reasoning - there is an emergency because there is no baby formula and Biden caused it but there also at the same time is no emergency because the baby formula can be made at home - but Biden still caused it :roll::roll:

According to kaz, and all other righties, all you have to do is FORCE women , "make" them "pump out" milk.....maybe through beatings or threats of jail time...things are 'simple" for them, just do something nasty to women and their problems are solved

I think that was when the milk was adulterated with melamine, by some cheapskate Chinese producers who were trying to commit consumer fraud and reduce costs but didn't realize it would kill babies and cause their kidneys to shut down.

You are correct. But it's not impossible for informed parents to make.
40% goats milk, 45% rice milk, 15% some sort of vegetable milk made with sunflower oil, or flax milk or hemp milk (alternating around), then throw in a sprinkle of baby multi vitamin power.

    :applause::applause: LOL, great answer ...

No. After the leaked preliminary decision on Roe v Wade, Democrats panicked that they wouldn't be able to fulfill Margaret Sanger's dream of cleaning up the gene pool by chasing live born Black babies around abortion chambers with machetes, so they decided to starve them to death. The plan was to build a corporate fascist regime, limiting manufacturers to less than a handful, then regulate them into submission, until they were so busy kissing Democrat behinds that they would eventually slip up and produce fatally flawed products. Democrats celebrated that Abbott fell into their trap ,,, leaving not a chance that the remaining actors could make up for the loss in production. Democrat politicians could be seen dancing on the corpses of the dead ,,, running to their propaganda outlets to share their glee.

Silly me! I thought it was the business of the baby food manufacturers to make baby food. If baby food manufacturers don't make enough baby food, then how is the Federal Government simply throwing money at them going to change ANYTHING for the better? :confusion:

'Food' for thought: Biden opened up the Department of Energy's Strategic Petroleum Reserve recently. WHAT EFFECT DID THAT HAVE ON FUEL PRICES IN THE U . S. ?! :nana:

Suggestion: maybe the best course is for the Federal Government to let the energy producers run their business in the way that's best for all of us -- and -- (sidebar) maybe it's best for the Federal Government to let the baby food manufacturers produce baby food in a way that's best for all parents and their babies! OK... you may break out in applause now.... :applause:

Here's an idea that is, perhaps, novel to you. How about learning what the two bills do and why there was a shortage?

One measure would help enable recipients to buy formula by giving the Agriculture secretary the permanent flexibility to waive certain requirements the special supplemental nutrition program for poorer women, infants and children, known as WIC, that limit the brands and quantities of formula that WIC recipients may purchase. The bill would also require that formula manufacturers have contingency plans for protecting against disruptions in supply in the event of a recall. It passed with a large bipartisan majority of 414 to 9.

All nine "no" votes were cast by Republicans: Reps. Andy Biggs, of Arizona; Lauren Boebert, of Colorado; Thomas Massie, of Kentucky; Clay Higgins, of Louisiana; Matt Gaetz, of Florida; Chip Roy, of Texas; Paul Gosar, of Arizona; Louie Gohmert, of Texas and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia.

A second measure to provide an extra $28 million to the Food and Drug Administration to help get fraudulent formula products off store shelves and boost the part of the workforce focused on formula, as well as FDA inspection staff, also passed, but with just 12 Republicans voting in favor.

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/baby-formula-shortage-house-passes-bills/

Repubs voting against the second bill falling under the category of never letting a crisis pass without using it for political opportunism in an election year.

Abbott Laboratories CEO Robert Ford apologized Saturday in a new op-ed for his company’s role in a nationwide shortage of baby formula, which this week moved Congress and the Biden administration to take emergency actions to alleviate it.

Ford also detailed steps the company is taking to stem the shortage, and vowed, “We are making significant investments to ensure this never happens again.”

Ford’s apology in a Washington Post op-ed noted that the shortage was sparked by the company’s recall in February of formula made at Abbott Nutrition’s plant in Sturgis, Michigan, after federal health officials found a potentially deadly bacteria there. The plant was responsible for producing up to 25% of the nation’s baby formula.

“We at Abbott take great pride in helping people with diabetes check their glucose, providing critical coronavirus testing and making lifesaving heart devices,” Ford wrote in the op-ed.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2022/05/21/abb...baby-formula-shortage-in-washington-post.html

For its part, Abbott is hoping the shortage doesn't result in an end to the oligopoly it enjoys being part of.

And while Republicans and Democrats play political football with this, NOBODY in the government will get fired. Young parents can’t feed their babies, and NOBODY is held accountable.

Lol no, I just watch an occasional Ryan Reynolds film which deserves an endorsement. True story, when I was an leo I arrested a lot of prison guards. One told us about an inmate who claimed he could smuggle a whole grapefruit. No one believed him, the next day he came into their office from the chow area, and “produced” a grapefruit. Prison wallet is a real thing, and that’s terrifying!

Yes the Dem answer for everything, just pass a bill that spends money and shout LOOK HOW CARING WE ARE. It doesn't have to solve the problem. And this is NOT a money problem. This is a REGULATION problem. The FDA screwed up royally and THEY caused the shortage and held getting the production back up to where it should be.

And you fell for it hook line and sinker.

Yes it is, that is the base product and then additional nutrients and vitamins can be added. This is NOT a MONEY problem and it is ridiculous that the Biden administration thinks the solution is to fly formula in from other countries. Next he will be blaming Putin for it

So we are supposed to lessen our dependence on foreign sources of vital products so we are not dependent on them but we are supposed to remain dependent on them at the same time? We had no shortage of baby formula before Biden's FDA shutdown this plant with no plan to make up the production or fast track getting this one, which never produced ANY contaminated product and not one baby got sick from a single can of their product, back on line.
