Any move toward the center would be a good thing, IMO. I wouldn't mind a Centrist President, but a centrist Congress would be even better.

Since the Fairness Doctrine was eliminated and Citizens United allowed unlimited money in elections, we've become a much more polarized country.

I know. I always believed America was better than this. But it's not.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. You want to go "all-in" for a Jewish Marxist like Bernie Sanders to be President of the United States? I could understand if your goal was to "hasten the inevitable collapse", but that's not what you want based on your post history.

    Yes really.

I know this is very hard to process for the fans of the reality TV game show host, but you don't have to be in love with Trump to be a Republican. In fact, if you're a Trump lover you want to tear apart the Republican establishment.

By the way, "liberal" isn't the opposite of "Republican". Liberal is what your reality TV game show host hero was most of his life. Unlike Trump, I was never a liberal.

You've said plenty about Trump. So have I. And because I oppose him, that makes my posts "read like a liberal".

I suspect you wouldn't know a liberal if one bit you in the ass. I know you don't recognize a Republican.

No, your posts read like a liberal because you've identified as an SJW, a social moderate, and a neoconservative. None of these are very right-wing positions. I know plenty of right-wingers who didn't support Trump, because he wasn't right-wing enough, but I would never suspect them of being liberals for this reason alone.

Okay you're a "Republican". So is John McCain and Lindsey Graham.

    Means very little these days.

How many lies can a person tell in one post? You're bucking for the record.

I identified myself as a social moderate because I am. I never identified myself as an SJW. You did in one of your many lies about me. I never identified myself as a neoconservative. I said I align with some of the things they believe in. I am a socially moderate fiscally conservative lifelong Republican.

I don't care what you suspect. I don't want someone who is a proud racist trying to tie me in with him anyway. You can hang out with your fellow white supremacists and leave the adult thinking to the adults.

It's people like you that are going to ensure future Democratic victories. Any self-respecting Republican doesn't want to be lumped in with racists and bigots.

Now go find that Muslim you think is hiding around the corner waiting to kill you.

    No, I'm a Republican, not a "Republican".

Graham and McCain have been Republicans longer than Trump, who only decided he was a Republican 5 minutes before he realized he could dupe the desperate and easily duped. Congratulations. You're helping him to destroy the Republican Party. You must be so very proud of yourself. How liberal of you.

Trump won many primaries with PLURALITIES in the 30s% range.

If only ONE candidate ran against Trump in the 2020 GOP primaries, Trump could have a very tough fight.

Are you talking to the voice in your head?

I get it. You can't stand McCain and Graham. Trump would be proud of you. What a good little loyalist you are.

Barack Obama appreciated your vote for him in 2008. Now I know you really are a liberal.

False. In fact, you considered it a complimentary term.

It wasn't a lie, as I just proved.

Another denial? Do you really think I won't remember these things or be unable to back up my claims?

I'm not trying to tie you in with me. Far from it. I'm distancing myself from you and defending the honor of the right by proving that you are not on the right, despite your claims to the contrary.

The 'establishment' thing is overemphasized. I really don't care much because I don't even form the question like that. For one thing too many confuse the concept with 'unorthodox' Trump is as establishment as you can get in his goals except a few very public exceptions, but he is very unorthodox in his tactics and language. He wraps his pro establishment agenda in a crude populist persona. It is very hard for an anti establishment candidate to accomplish much if he does not avail himself of establishment tactics and strategies and learn how to turn some very proficient establishment players into allies. Its a lot smarter to think in terms of policies pursued and look at how they impact the dynamics of both people and institutions.

Change within large institutions will only be incremental regardless of the aspirations of the President so it does not matter how moderate or immoderate the platform. Sanders socialist -lite agenda would have turned into a moderate result as long as he is surrounded by moderates everywhere he turns and compromise is required to get anything done. In the end you decide which direction you want this ship of state heading in, knowing that it always maneuvers very very slowly. and pick a captain who is tenacious, and sure at the helm. If you want to take the risk of picking someone who has never worked on ship before, he has to be smarter, and far more shrewd at picking and managing the very best and experienced officers than one with years and years on that vessel. he sure as hell better be willing to actively listen and learn how the engine works!

I said exactly what I just said - I'm "close to that". I said other people called me that. I never said I am. Why is it that you lie so much? Muslims have you petrified so your brain is addled?

Go away. If I wanted to read incoherent idiocy I'd pull out a Trump Tweet or visit the local First Grade.

I voted for McCain and Romney, regrettably.

That was before I knew the true nature of these kinds of "Republicans". That was before I knew they were enemies of the American people.

Another member said "Oh, so you're a neocon. Got it" and the first word of your response to him was "Yes,". You agreed that you're "close to a" neocon. I'm sure this is a very important distinction for you to make.

Yes, I know. McCain is your enemy. And he got captured too, and we all know that people who got captured are bad people.

Enemies of the people. Unlike a liberal reality TV game show host.

    Your posts are sad.

In hour typically dishonest way, you lied yet again about what I said.

The word "yes" was "yes, people have called me a neocon".

Your posts are so dishonest it's painful. But no surprise considering what you are.

    You disgust me.
