And? There are stages of the spread and different countries are at different stages depending on when it started and how much testing is available. In the end the number of case dies NOT matter. It’s how many are actually dying and who. We actually want as many people infected and not showing many symptoms as possible, so that we can build up immunity. You understand how this works right because I don’t think you do? If most people dying continue to be elderly or those with immune deficiency and lung issues this is a GOOD THING. It means we can understand it and fight and it also can determine that people can get back to work and get the economy moving again. We can’t stay **** down for months unless you don’t want a country to return to. Is that what you want? You want the finances of EVERYONE destroyed to save 50k, 100k, even 200k? It’s completely NOT worth it. What good is saving them when we destroy everyone?
It was good to see Joe Biden come out yesterday in favor banning flights from China. Of course, Trump took that action back in January, but it’s good to have Joe finally on board. He’s right on top of things.
A Joe Biden nomination simply means Trump 2.0 Joe Biden is Hillary in drag. With bad fitting dentures. Trump only took that action and suspended passenger flights AFTER major carriers had already suspended flights from China before January 31st. https://apnews.com/7a165f73821fdd44e321a38be005886c So, I'm not sure how you've come to the conclusion that Trump actually did anything on his own. What Trump did not stop was cargo flights. And, guess what? Those flights were crewed by people on the ground from all over China.
Come November, Trump is going to ask the American people: Are you better off then you were 4 years ago? Those who remain on unemployment, those who've seen their 401.k accounts whitle away to nothing, those who've lost their houses, etc will be interesting to see what their response's are.
Its already 63.8% by COVIDIOT Tramp's own calculation. Up from the 42% Tramp calculated for Obama. http://time.com/4003734/donald-trump-interview-transcript/ Don’t forget in the meantime we have a real unemployment rate that’s probably 21%. It’s not 6. It’s not 5.2 and 5.5. Our real unemployment rate–in fact, I saw a chart the other day, our real unemployment–because you have ninety million people that aren’t working. Ninety-three million to be exact. If you start adding it up, our real unemployment rate is 42%. - Donald J Trump, Time interview, Aug. 18, 2015
Due to Trump or due to a ****ing plague from China that has infected and brought down the whole world? You think a Democrat in office would have ignored all the medical professionals and ignored the social distancing and quarantine? I guess the media would have convinced everyone that letting the elderly die is a good thing for the country and how it would clear up SS and for the good of us all sacrificing the weak will make us all stronger And praise be with our lord and savior Clinton. She prevented the plague from impacting the great United States of Hillary, while the rest of the world burned? You think a Democrat in office would have made a lick of difference? The majority DEM congress certainly didn’t rise to the occasion very quickly did they, treating this all non differently than Trump.
LOL you may consider clinton your lord and saviour but I do not. That being said, you cannot blame her for shutting down the pandemic unit of FEMA now can you? I think trump did that. I also don't think Hillary mentioned anything about hoax's or playing down the seriousness of this pandemic either. But like I said earlier, we'll find out come November.
Order a nationwide quarantine as of March 9, close all non-essential businesses at the first sign of large-scale contagion. That's what Canada did. Instead, on March 8, Trump was playing golf...
The federal government does not have the power to do this, and does not have the resources to enforce it.
Another attempt to excuse Trump. A real leader would have convinced the governors to act. Especially in calling off a national emergency.
Restricted travel. He did not stop or ban travel ( hundreds of thousands entered US from area) as he and the rightwing noise machine have suggested. We lost months while the President, his “acting” Directors, and understaffed and underfunded departments failed to grasp what was occurring. His buck passing, indecisive style of management and sycophantic butt kissers are not “the best people” to manage this crisis. We’ve got the wrong President at the wrong time.
Historically a quarantine is used to confine the sick and contagious, not the uninfected and healthy. So I admit, you do have a point, but apparently no one has suggested this but you. I admit, not a bad idea though...
When I say quarantine, I mean people are in mandatory lockdown at home. The first state to implement it was California... and the results speak for themselves. If Trump had called for containment as early as March 9, tens of thousands of lives would have been saved. On the 8th he was playing golf and on the 10th he claimed the virus would disappear on its own....
Oh I thought you actually came up with a clever and relevant idea. Instead simply an unconstitutional one.
Don't worry about it. Next November, voters will remember that Trump couldn't do anything about the virus and they'll forgive him.
The federal government does not have the power to do this, and does not have the resources to enforce it.
It's the fault of China, the left, the MSM, Deep State and now the Constitution. Trump has absolutely no responsibility for what's happening right now.
Only bad people revel in the concept of the dimise of the economy for political gain. If you think the trashing of the economy is great if it impacts Trump badly ,you are pure evil.
I'm sorry you don't like the fact Trump does not have the authority to do what you suggested, thereby nullifying your complaint to that effect, but there's nothing -I- can do about it. If you had a legitimate gripe, you wouldn't have to continue to insist that Trump should have something he cannot do.
The Constitution allows the POTUS to declare a state of national emergency and certain powers of governors are suspended for reasons of national security. But Trump wasn't going to do that. Not because he couldn't, but because he was spending his time downplaying the virus.
