    But they're not socialists!

A recent Gallup poll revealed that 57% of Democrats are fond of Socialism:

    https://news.gallup.com/poll/240725/democrats-positive-socialism-capitalism.aspx
    https://www.redstate.com/kimberly_r...-cortez-poll-democrats-capitalism-negatively/
    https://hotair.com/archives/2018/08/13/gallup-dems-now-definitely-feeling-bern-socialism/

No wonder Uncle Bernie did so well in the last Democratic presidential primary and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a rising star in the Democratic party.

Unfortunately for the party that is chock full of Democratic Socialists and is becoming increasingly indistinguishable from the Socialist Party USA, a majority of Americans say they won't vote for a socialist:

    http://thehill.com/hilltv/what-amer...ity-of-americans-say-the-would-not-vote-for-a

Nevertheless, I find the results of this poll hilarious in light of the incessant denials and feeble protests from our Leftist friends.

I'm not surprised that you don't know the difference between socialists and democratic socialists.

Its a distinction without a difference. In case you haven't forgotten it wasn't that long ago that Hugo Chavez was the poster child of the left (when oil prices were high and Venezuela could pay for some of their socialism). Then he no longer had money so he resorted to fascist tactics to keep power. All of you lefties are the same at the core. You only care about power and manipulating other people into living how YOU think they should live. You are authoritarians and anti-liberty at your core. Your side now doesn't even pretend to care about free speech anymore as you have come up with laws penalizing people who don't call someone by some made up bullshit word or barring speakers that are on the opposite side of the political spectrum.

Social security is a contract between the government and the people, it is not a redistribution of wealth, although the pay in/out ratio is rather extreme in favor of the recipient. Medicare is a different matter, but honestly not one that can be addressed while baby boomers still vote...

Those are your BELIEFS about them. He asked about how you FEEL about them. Like them? Dislike them? Feel they're good, helpful, fair, bad, evil, harmful?

So are tax cuts favoring the rich in the context of diminishing social programs for the needy.

I'd be interested to see the quote where FDR referred to himself as a Democratic Socialist. By all means, feel free to share that with us, Kode...

Of course they do - the more power the state has over the everyday lives of the citizenry, the more power Democrats think they will have over the everyday lives of the citizenry.

What's that? You don't like same-sex marriage? Looks like we have to cut back your rations...

Oh! I see. You just depend on labels. So the "Democratic Party" must be exemplary of democracy, eh? The "Democratic People's Republic of Korea" must be democratic, eh? The "National Socialist Party" of Hitler must have been "for the people", eh?

I've learned long ago to watch what they DO, not what they SAY.

FDR's reforms were the essence of Democratic Socialism. Bernie said he is a democratic socialist "in the manner of FDR".

Brother, show me any ideology with Socialist as the title for that nation that stays consistent with equilibrium over time and proven to let the people partake in liberty and freedom........

I sure hope you do not point to Euro trash as an example.
