Who said anything about religion? I have always maintained that a business reserves the right to refuse services except for critical services. Notice our convo had nothing to do with the Bible. Try to keep up.

There's no religious text that says you can't commerce with "sinners." That in itself makes this law BS.

LOL The law is based upon "religious freedom" and in essence allows for bigots to deny services to people who are in violation of their religion.

My discussion with the other poster had nothing to do with religion.

So people who are religious are bigots in your world.....interesting but not unexpected.

Resorting to putting words in my mouth...nice debate tactic.

People who use religion to discriminate against somebody are bigots. It's practically the definition itself.

I'd suggest, those that contributed nearly a million dollars on an average of 30.00 per, feel they have good reason to make that donation. Frankly, I believe a good many are in business themselves and have been harassed by some TINY group of "anti American" advocates, with nothing better to do....a good many of them, also Gay.

Having an opinion does not make someone a bigot.

It's nice that these people would contribute so much to a person suffering from "Foot in Mouth" disease.

But really, do we know anything about the pizza shop owner? Good person or Bad? So many of these people who get hoisted on a pedestal leave people running for cover when their true motivations are discovered after a week or two. We'll see.

Because in this country we are innocent to proven guilty, not the other way around.

They live in a town of 2000 people, somehow netting 100K/yr....they (daughter/father) can't be all that bad. Then it's the issue and I suspect most people in business, never catered anything and somewhat religious, would have answered to same way....regardless their character.

Yes we'll see, they say they will re-open, but they will be approached by many to franchise or expand into a larger market. Maybe the cub reporter, seemingly looking for an advocate, should be checked out!!!

Oh give me a break... discrimination is like porn - we all know it when we see it.

I'm not going to send them money... especially if no one has even asked them to bake a cake for a wedding.

I actually support the pizzeria's right to deny service to a gay wedding if they want to, but certainly am not sending them money.

Like what... So since I think the military is too big, and I didn't support the Iraq war, does that mean I don't have to pay taxes... If you think your taxes will only go to things you approve of, then you are naive at best.

And their what are they doing for your cause to merit your donation... they denied a service that no one has ever asked them for?

I actually support their right not to cater pizza to a gay wedding... I just think it is idiotic to send them money for doing nothing. All they did was refuse to do something that nobody has ever asked them to do.

This is priceless. Colorado just taught everyone how to properly discriminate.

Great fun to watch, wasn't it! And not only did they create it but they pumped it up with their baiting of the poor counter girl and then lied to make her look like she did/said something that wasn't even close to what really happened.

And yep, there are a ton of people out there that have zero clue about the facts and what prompted this whole thing. When you mention the Freedom of Religion thing, they go totally blank.

I enjoyed it. Very much. Just another day in fake liberal outrage.
lol. I think I see the problem here.

Just to clarify the debate: Refusing Service = Racism / Homophobia.

Realistically, this is all about the 'right' to sue someone for darn near anything. If someone's dog relieves himself in your yard, better not complain. It's a test case for lawyers and gay activists. The democratic party gets the majority of it's money from the legal 'industry', so why does everyone have to be so bitter about lawyers drumming up business.

So if a cop said a person looked like they were smoking pot because he knows a pot smoker when he sees it, that person must take a drug test to prove they weren't?

You might want to read up on the 5th and 14th amendments to the constitution, due process clauses.

Good job. I wish we could raise that much in three days to actually practice the moral goodness of bearing true witness to our own laws.
