I'm going to venture a guess that the bulk of them know more than you or I, which is the point. The FBI is in the middle of an ongoing investigation revolving around Trump, his campaign manager, cabinet, and ex cabinet, and collusion with a foreign power; 17 intelligence agencies say that Russia interfered. I'll side with them; you can take the other side with Reynold's Wrap, Breitbart, and Alex Jones.

I find this forum difficult to navigate, at times. This is one of those times. I’m an Independent, and I have real problems with both parties. I certainly criticize trump. That’s because I can’t believe we elected such a clown to the presidency. But that doesn’t mean I wanted Hillary to win. They are both sickening, as people, as candidates, and in the case of trump, as president.

Yes, Bush was horrible. Remember dick Cheney: “The Iraqi people will throw flowers at our feet.” “The war will be over in days.” And, another of his greatest hits: “deficits doesn’t matter.” (Paraphrased).

Syria is a mess, so many groups fighting, I wonder if anyone understands who they are and who they’re fighting. It’s a shame we ever chose to get involved in the middle east. The whole place is a toilet, and all we’ve done is make it worse. The waste in lives and treasure is mind boggling. All the worse because we didn’t have to go in, in the first place.

The fact that there are so many questions about Russia interferring in our elections, and the many connections the trump administration and campaign staff have with the Russians, and the many lies they’ve told when asked about those connections, screams for an independent investigation. Maybe there is nothing there. But as long as all these questions remain, trump will be seen as an illegitimate president by many Americans. And the number of people who want an independent investigation seems to be rapidly growing.

If Russia IS causing problems we have to find out. If not, fine, at least it would clear the air. But, as much as the GOP loved investigating the Clintons and Obama and everything else they could think of, while they were in the minority all these years, I can’t understand why they would object to an investigation about something that could truly be serious. Why is the GOP afraid of the TRUTH? Do they have something to hide? I It is not knowing the truth is what will do the damage.

I’m not a sore loser about the election. I hate Hillary, too. What I wanted is a candidate with brains, class, integrity, principles, and good judgement. trump and Hillary have none of those qualities. In that sense, probably most Americans want the same thing in a president. We deserve far better than the turd we’re now stuck with.

If it was learned the Hilary Clinton received money for her personal pocket after giving Russia 10% of our uranium for Russia to make nuclear weapons with that would be treason on her part.

Wait, that has been learned and is undisputed.

If it is learned that the Democratic Party is a front organization for Putin, that would be treason by the Democratic Party.

If it was learned that a massive gamma ray burst is headed towards earth we are all doomed and this all irrelevant.

If it is learned that MSMBC is being paid by Putin to...

What if's are exactly NOTHING - and that is exactly the evidence against Trump doing anything unlawful.

    Good post, valid points.

As much as the GOP loved to launch investigations at the drop of a hat when they were the minority party, it’s hard to understand why they are objecting to an independent investigation into the possibility that Russia is trying to influence our elections. This is actually a serious matter — not the kind of silliness the GOP used to want to investigate every other day.

Why is the GOP afraid to get at the TRUTH. I can understand trump trying to hide things, he’s probably dirty as hell. But, Americans deserve to know our election system and methods are honest and that they work as they’re supposed to work.

If the mutual finger-pointing that followed the ignominious collapse of "something terrific!", "cover everybody!" TrumpCare persists as they move down their hit list, fragging becomes a more viable strategy for Republicans in congress.

All it might require is the court-ordered exposure of the Mar-a-lago Messiah's promised tax returns that could show him to have been in cahoots with Putin's goons.

I agree what ifs are exactly nothing. I guess you didn't bother reading my post before your purely partisan kneejerk.
