So you prefer turning schools into prisons to common-sense gun control.

Better check with the ACLU on Obama's mental stability requirements. It's bogus. Wow. I guess that my .50 cal muzzle loader can also be considered an assault weapon and WMD even though the technology is over two hundred years old. Come to think of it muzzle loaded weapons were the mass produced assault weapons for nearly 475 years ago.
Try looking for a cop in the midst of a home invasion, or street riot like Los Angeles, Ferguson, or Baltimore.
Personally, In an emergency police take at least 20 to 30 minutes to get to me.

You don't need to make a prison out of schools. Just using common sense security like key cards, reception desks at key point manned by retired Leo's or Military, monitored CCTV both in the halls, school rooms, entrances and overseeing parking lots.

That is sure a lot of money to prevent a few deaths every year. What about better mental health and bullying services for students or a safe place in school to store guns for teachers?

And who is in charge of the FBI and the Justice Department? The Executive in the White House. The buck stops there.

The exclusive private schools attended by the children of the Hollywood elite and government officials have armed security. Why not regular kids?

That's Bull Crap and you know it. I managed a headquarters facility and six regional offices. What I recommended here is the same plan I used for each of the facilities. I've caught theft and stopped assaults with the same system. Thankfully no one ever used a gun while I managed the HQ with subordinates at the six other facilities. BTW, didn't think this up by myself, I was certified by attending a Corporate Security Co. The system I suggested is the same system used by the school that Obama's girls and now Barron use. Leave the A-! Abrams tanks to the Army.

Not really, for less than $70,000 I was able to set up the CCTV system with motion detection and electronic doors with key cards for one 150,000 square foot building. That's less than the cost of uniforms for the Football, Baseball, La Cross, Basketball, Field hockey and Soccer team combined for one year.

ACLU is against ALL storage of personal records on government databases, but it has no vested authority.

As to your implication that I am anti-gun, I have nothing against responsible individuals owning conventional weapons; I just don't see rational justification for rapid-fire rifles with high-capacity magazines.

Assault Weapons Not Protected by Second Amendment, Federal Appeals Court Rules
    by The Associated Press

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Maryland's ban on 45 kinds of assault weapons and its 10-round limit on gun magazines were upheld Tuesday by a federal appeals court in a decision that met with a strongly worded dissent.

In a 10-4 ruling, the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia, said the guns banned under Maryland's law aren't protected by the Second Amendment.

"Put simply, we have no power to extend Second Amendment protections to weapons of war," Judge Robert King wrote for the court, adding that the Supreme Court's decision in District of Columbia v. Heller explicitly excluded such coverage.
